“Couldn't have asked for better - truly fabulous”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

What can I say in so few words. Brilliant, friendly, caring, clean, great views, great rooms. We had booked for their apartments but as my friend and I use walking sticks the Mustis management moved us to the hotel. I could not have had a better holiday. Armatulan is a suberb of Marmaris but you have everything there you need and only a bus ride from the city itself. Although our walking problems meant we didn't do many trips, we were so content to sit by the pool served by a selection of great and vey entertaining bar staff! Mustis offer Turkish baths, trips, tattooing, their own restaurant next to the hotel, anything you needed and the staff who, despite their long hours (bar will stay open until you go to bed which could be 5am the craic is so good!!!) are there again, still cheerful early morning for breakfasts and 'Action' from the ever positive Atilla. I also have to say the pool music was fab...a blend of chilling and partying - both Turkish and European, one if the things I so enjoyed. Could they have done more - yes, held me away from the transfer coach to the airport and kidnapped me!! Fantastic people, fantastic holiday and we will cetainly be back next year.

Room Tip: Ask for the third floor at the front of the hotel. The views of the pool and scenery are marvellous...

My daughter Aimee and I stayed at this hotel on the 3rd of september for 15 days and for our first time ever abroad we could not have chosen a better hotel, from the early hours of arrival erjan and osman could not have made us feel any more welcome theyre helpfulness put us at great ease. The room we were given was more than comfortable for our needs and as people refer to the carpets in the reviews as threadbare to be honest it doesnt surprise me because im sure that we wore it down even more with the amount of times we were out on our balacony to see the fantastic views. The rooms were clean and kept tidy by the cleaning staff every day.The beds were fantastic to sleep in top marks for mattresses ,Atilla who runs the hotel works very hard non stop on making sure everything runs like clockwork with attention to every detail ,he went out of his way to get to know each and every one of his customers and my daughter laughed and loved his random "ACTION! ACTION!! comments,She still talks about them even today lol The staff work so hard and have fantastic sense of humours and like Atilla go out of their way to mingle and get to know everyone,Ginger,Zombie,Izzy and mikey made the holiday for my daughter,The pool is cleaned every day and there are plenty of loungers for you to soak up the sun ,A must to try is the meal or no deal where you can have a lunch and a 3 course dinner in the evening for a tenner per person the selection is so delicious and vast amounts with something for everyone that we were tempted to kidnap the chef and take him home with us lol Delara the receptionist was a lovely girl with a very pleasent manner always a smile for us first thing in the morning and always ready to help my daughter get online to check things back home for a small fee of 5 lira a day we could have interent all day to use in the reception area or around the pool,There is nothing they havent thought of ...there is a hairdressers/tattoo shop .a mini market ,you can even have a turkish bath in the hotel and even at night the same family also run a mustis fun pub across the road at night where there is a great entertainment show put on every night the manager enes was great and so welcoming and a fantastic young boy dancer called mustapha who was so lovely and entertaining that my daughter danced with every night, The bbq nights at the hotel was the best great food all you can eat, turkish dancers ,belly dancers competions and more and all for the simple price of £10 each or a lunch and dinner ticket from your meal or no deal where in the uk could you get a great night out for that price!!We were both so sad to leave but got a lovely send off from Atilla and all the staff I want to say a big teşekkür ederim to Atilla and all the staff who did everything to make our first holiday more than wonderful and we will definately be coming back next september hopefully with some more members of our family as we have recommended it that much that now they want to come back with us..who can blame them till next year love and best wishes to everyone x

Room Tip: the pool side views are fantastic i could sit out there all day and night and never get bored watchi...

stayed here from the 15th sep for one week, went with an open mind after reading some negative reviews, yes its a little bit dated and worn out but the rooms were clean and tidy, the maid was in everyday unlike the hovel of a hotel we stayed at in june( london blue....avoid), staff were fine and friendly enough, didnt bother with the meal deal as we like to get out and about of an evening and you could only have a minimum of four meal deals, had a couple of snacks and a english breakfast which were fine. we bought our water from the supermaket next door for 1 lira for a large bottle and drank it discretely by the pool as the hotel were chaging 3 lira for a small water and there are signs all over to let you know you are only allowed to consume drinks bought from the bar, you can also change your money from the super market(the one nearest the slide) and he was giving a rate of 2.86 much better than the hotel.breakfast was typical turkish and ok but my wife noticed the cups were not as clean as they should be,plenty of sun beds on the sun decks and by the pool, air con probably needs a service as it is not as cold as some hotels we have stayed in before.not much else i can say other that what has already been said, we met some nice people there..hello to Scott, Debra & their two lads, BIG hello to shaun and suzanne & also to two irish ladies whos names i have forgot (please forgive me)who were extremely friendly and a great laugh . would we go back probably a yes....Regards Gavin & Debbie.

stayed at this hotel september 2012,very nice, rooms a bit dated but comfortable,i was a sole user and had a twin room with a huge balcony.I had two views,Turkish neighbours who waved to me every morning on the balcony, and a building site and mosque which by the way wakes you at 5.45 each morning. Breakfast typical turkish, but could have english for 6.90 turkish lira £2.50. Barbque night not to be missed £10.00.Air con available £30.00 but would'nt bother and take a travel kettle they charge £15.00 a week. The only downfall of this hotel is it is way back from the beach and you have to get a bus into marmaris only 2 lira but you are far from all the hustle if thats what your looking for.I met some nice people and am looking to go back next year but a different hotel.

My boyfriend, Ryan and I are just recently back from the Royal Plaza and we can honestly say we had one of the best holidays. We arrived in middle of night through the wrong entrance (transfer's fault) and there were staff to help us in with our bags. The rooms are a little bit dated I will admit but very clean and comfortable and we had an amazing view of the city and sea from our balcony. Armutalan were the hotel is based is only 10mins bus ride from Marmaris centre. The bus comes really regularly and is only about 70p. Armutalan itself has lots of bars and restaurants though so we only went to Marmaris twice in the week.

At the hotel, the deal or no deal on the meals is a good idea and does save money. Ryan and I were a bit weary and only ordered a few days because we had friends at another hotel but ended up eating there 3days anyway so I would definitely give it a go. The bar staff especially Zombie and Mustafa are amazing - making you feel so welcome, giving us nicknames Scotchie and Irlanda - they also knew everyone else's name and made everyone feel welcome! We are quite a shy couple but we never felt uncomfortable or awkward and Ryan ended up learning Turkish from one of the guys at the bar. I'm surprised a few people have complained about the staff on this because I found them great and lots of fun.

Anyway, i'm not the type to go somewhere more than once but I am already keen to go back here and that proves a lot. Definitely would recommend it.

Ps: haggle in the shops in Marmaris! We got some great deals.

This hotel was clean and comfortable, the food was expensive but very tasty. The drinks, again expensive, but there is a shopping market over the road, if you don't like getting ripped off. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you to mamaris centre for 2lira(40p), which is handy. The staff are very helpful and make you feel at home, Attila especially is very welcoming. All in all this hotel is decent with nice food and friendly staff, and if i had a camera, yes i could go around with a camera and zoom into little corners and make this place look bad. But in all honesty you get what you pay for and more, and during my stay all the guests were very pleased. Just make sure you have £30 for air con and £15 for a safe box, apart from that there are no surprises. If your thinking of booking this, then i would say 'go for it.

Room Tip: ask for pool room ;)
