“u get what you pay for really??!”
Reviewed September 12, 2011

went to the hotel for our honeymoon on 28th august 2011 till 8th september 2011, it was cheap and we thought we could save some money to spend going out on trips. after 8 hour delay getting there from gatwick then the 2 hour transfer to the hotel by the time we got there, they told us there was no room for us so we had to wait another 2 hours- which by then they offered us a room but only a single bed....hardly ideal. eventually after another half hour we got a room (we paid extra for balcony pool veiw) we didnt even get a balcony let alone pool veiw.
the beach is about 15-20 minutes walk or you can get the bus and it only take 5 minutes.
plenty of cheap shops around cheaper then going into marmaris.
all inclusive starts from 10am till 10pm unless your turkish you will not enjoy the food. every now and again we got an omelette and at lunch out of the whole ten days 1 day we got pizza pasta and chips which after slops this was like heaven.
We ate out every night, im not a fussy eater but that was just not even edible. one day they did a curry no lie it smelt like dog food.
Once you get into the swing of it though and you settle in knowing where eveything is its really not that bad.
we had breakfast out come back sunbathed all day drank for free all day- lunch we had in the hotel as this was always the best meal, then wed go up get showered eat out then if time make the most of the all inclusive drinks.
Now for the good points:
Emre- he had only been there 2 weeks he come from a thomson holiday village used to looking after 7000 people and 25 bars. His now working here .... personally talent waisted however if it wasnt for emre our holiday would have been a total disaster.
after 10 days what started off as the holiday from hell, ended up with us not wanting to go home, the days went on the better the hotel was becoming.
if im honest if i ould go back just me and my husband i would coz i honestly think emre will turn this hotel around in no time. Some of the staff need a kick up the bum and need to smile a bit more but then managment made me frown alot to.
what i will add is dont expect entertainment lol- they play kareoke off of you tube (no one sings) and thats it!! not ideal for children either they will be really bored!!

Please dont worry if you have already booked up. we had to suffer it on our honeymoon and we made it our own. everyone is friendly all holiday makers are english- no germans hogging the beds!! everyone is out for a good time and thats how our holiday ended up being so nice. Like emre said to us on our last night people pay money to come here- if i can put a smile on peoples faces and make there time here more enjoyable i will. thats exactly what he did. country is beautiful dont be put off.

Just returned back from Turkey this morning after staying at the newly named Blue Park Otel for one week. We arrived late one night after our transfer coach forgetting to drop us off to find a clean and busling hotel. One of the staff meet us from our coach and took our bags in, 1st comment about the staff; they work very hard to keep the place tidy and will have a laugh and joke with you, espically Emeray! They are a few members of the staff who are more difficult to engage with, the Bar Manager seems to run his bar with military precision and will not bend on any of the rules. Quick tip, make sure you get your last drink in before he rings the last orders bell!!!

The room we had was always kept clean every day with fresh towels and the bed made. It was a nice size room, perfect for a couple like us. Another tip, when using the shower, try and leave about 5 minutes between people using it or else you with water everywhere, the tiles become very slippery.

The food was basic but ok, we didn't go hungry, however there wasn't that much choice, I think out of the whole week we were there we ate out maybe 4 times, 2 of those times was breakfast. The food on offer could be vastly improved, and I agree with a comment made by another guest, labels on the foods, sauces and condiments would be nice!!! If you want a great breakfast, head to Uncle Sams just down the road, go see Alex and he'll serve you a fab meal. Would also recommend Natalie's Steak House in Marmaris harbour, have the Steak Platter!!!

Drinks were plentyful, however the small "toddler" size glasses was very annoying, you have to go back to the bar every 10 minutes if you want a decent drink! They did run out of beer at one stage.

The pool was very clean, cleaned regularly and checked throughly the day, however there is no shallow end so if your not a strong swimmer I would suggest a lie low!!! The hotel does not have form of entertainment apart from the speakers that are hooked up to the computer in the bar, so maybe taking your own music would be useful.

We went on 3 trips, would recommend the Quad Safari (take a change of clothes) and would recommend the Turkish night. We also went to a Turkish bath just round the corner from the BPH, I enjoyed it but my Fiancee didn't, the bath is run by men, she felt a bit intimidated, so shop around for a good one.

**Beware** If you buy a couple of trips you may get offered a "free" dinner cruise, the only thing you pay for is your drinks. We were intending on going on this but didn't after hearing rumours of 2/3 couples being scammed. The rumour was that you are given a table number which is your tab, they apparently give the same number to another table, so you are all charging to the same tab. One couple ran up a bar tab of £200 and the staff would not let them off the boat. We heard this and decided to give it a wide birth.

Overal this is a good hotel, perfectly located 10 minutes walk from bars, restuarants and shops. The bus to Marmaris stops right outside the hotel and costs 3 lira. Number 3 bus there, number 2 or 3 back, every 15minutes.

As I said we would return to this hotel again, however this would be only if no where else was available.

Andrew and Ami,
Blackpool.

I returned from blue park last week and had a lovely time but that was due to the people i met there. Be prepared to take money with a view of eating out every night and you may be surprised and be able to enjoy your meal in the hotel on a few occasions.
The hotel is VERY basic and the food is edible but very little choice. If you like salads then you will be ok, anything beyond that and you will struggle - my son 12 ate out everyday - at home he is not a fussy eater but does not like casseroles and that was mainly what the meals consisted of with rice and salad. We had baked potatoes for lunch one day and grilled meat one evening - highlights of an otherwise bland week.
The staff are lovely and work very hard.
The manager will listen to suggestions but does not necessarily act on them .
As we left the glasses we had had for drinks the previous week had been replaced by plastic beakers which i used to give my children as training beakers !
The room was very basic and we were one of the lucky ones however there were some which were in the attic- floor 5 - very small .
The positive - you are away from the noise of marmaris and the dolmus is on the corner and very convenient .
Did i have a good time - YES
Would i recommend or visit there again - NO
Hope this helps as i use trip advisor all the time - but not i hasten to add before i had booked this hotel as it was very last minute booking and a case of needs must !

Room Tip: get a room on 4th floor

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit worried about this hotel, however when we got there we requested a double bed and got one, the room was very tidy and it got cleaned every day with new towels and new bedding every few days too. The food is as good as you can expect for a 3* hotel. Mainly turkish food and as quite a fussy eater I was abit worried but it was lovely! Home made soup every evening which I would highly recommend, they also had fresh bread which you cut yourself every meal which was a nice extra touch. We didn't have any issues with drinks, always got what we wanted but as said already there isnt much entertainment, but the beach is a 10-15 minute walk and there is loads of nice bars along there so we walked down there every night after the all inclusive finished. The staff were all very friendly and always having a laugh with us. Don't believe all that you read beacuse we had a brilliant holiday and couldn't of asked for anything better!!

Room Tip: ask for rooms down steps at back of pool, cool all day and night and bigger rooms

Im writing this review because i was dreading this holiday after reading about this hotel.

We are a family of 5, and just got back home yesterday. We had a very good holiday. Such a friendly and relaxing place, we never went hungary, we never went without a sun bed, and was allways made welcome by all the staff.
THE ROOMS: maybe a little on the small side but they are very clean, all you need to sleep and shower and the air-con works a treat.
THE FOOD : we never went hungary, fresh pancakes or omlettes for breakfast with plenty of bread+cheeses. Allways a cooked meal for lunch and dinner with a good selection of salads, bread and desserts. We had chicken, beef + kebab dishes through the week with a bbq one night.
THE POOL: Very clean, we watched them every night clean the pool and it's surrounding area allways adding chlorine to pool each night and someone checking its levels through the day.
THE BAR: Open from 10.30am till 10.00pm, this hotel is such a short walk away frm the local bars that are welcoming and friendly, a very safe feeling when out and about...try the " red rose"...good deal on cocktails..child friendly..and Sunny the bar manager is a genuine friendly guy.
THE STAFF: very friendly, good fun and very attentive. If you find that the hotel has run out of something you need, just ask it's never a problem.
This maybe a small hotel with not much entertainment, but a holiday is what you make it and we met some great people and made some good friends,so day times were fun in the pool, and evenings were a giggle, chatting and getting to know each other and once or twice all goin into town for a bit of a change.
Some of the staff and their children used the pool, and also hotel staff+manager's families ate at the hotel so for me it was comforting to know that if they use the facilities then everything must be safe.
Everybody's expectations are different, but we stayed a week, enjoyed every minute and came home very relaxed... for a mum+wife no cooking, no cleaning and having family time with lot's of fun is all i ask for.

Been meaning to write a review for a while. stayed there at beginning of june, we paid £1500 including flights, transwers and 28nights all inclusive. it worked out about £15 p/n and we got 3 hearty meals, tea, drinks and snacks. The alcohol choice and the all inclusive offer finishing at 10pm was a bit off but what can you expect when you pay £15 p/n. The hotel is a business!!! they need to make money, + staying in britain you couldn't even get a room for that. Sick of people moaning to death about this place. We stayed in room 214, we couldn't fault it, apart from the drainage but thats usual for turkey, thats why its not in the EU. look up about the culture and place before you start complaining. The staff were really helpful and we got very close to them during our months stay, they always asked how we were, if they could get us anything! made conversation with us, suggested things for us to do as we were here for a month, a man in the shop even played his computer game with my fiance.
One bad thing about the place is you can hear doors slamming and people shouting, but thats because of the hotel guests! The managerment sorted 3 scottish girls with different accomodation when they were warned 3 times and had 28 noise complaints!
Atilla (remember his name) was amazing, entertaining everyone, putting a smile on everyones face.
On one of the days there was a massive thunder storm and the boys who worked there worked so hard on that day making sure everyone was kept safe and dry. Well done lads!!!
Sorry about my moaning, but my advise is don't knock it til you've tried it!!! spent 1 month there and wouldn't hesitate going back, we will be back in september guys if your reading this!
