went to the hotel for our honeymoon on 28th august 2011 till 8th september 2011, it was cheap and we thought we could save some money to spend going out on trips. after 8 hour delay getting there from gatwick then the 2 hour transfer to the hotel by the time we got there, they told us there was no room for us so we had to wait another 2 hours- which by then they offered us a room but only a single bed....hardly ideal. eventually after another half hour we got a room (we paid extra for balcony pool veiw) we didnt even get a balcony let alone pool veiw.
the beach is about 15-20 minutes walk or you can get the bus and it only take 5 minutes.
plenty of cheap shops around cheaper then going into marmaris.
all inclusive starts from 10am till 10pm unless your turkish you will not enjoy the food. every now and again we got an omelette and at lunch out of the whole ten days 1 day we got pizza pasta and chips which after slops this was like heaven.
We ate out every night, im not a fussy eater but that was just not even edible. one day they did a curry no lie it smelt like dog food.
Once you get into the swing of it though and you settle in knowing where eveything is its really not that bad.
we had breakfast out come back sunbathed all day drank for free all day- lunch we had in the hotel as this was always the best meal, then wed go up get showered eat out then if time make the most of the all inclusive drinks.
Now for the good points:
Emre- he had only been there 2 weeks he come from a thomson holiday village used to looking after 7000 people and 25 bars. His now working here .... personally talent waisted however if it wasnt for emre our holiday would have been a total disaster.
after 10 days what started off as the holiday from hell, ended up with us not wanting to go home, the days went on the better the hotel was becoming.
if im honest if i ould go back just me and my husband i would coz i honestly think emre will turn this hotel around in no time. Some of the staff need a kick up the bum and need to smile a bit more but then managment made me frown alot to.
what i will add is dont expect entertainment lol- they play kareoke off of you tube (no one sings) and thats it!! not ideal for children either they will be really bored!!
Please dont worry if you have already booked up. we had to suffer it on our honeymoon and we made it our own. everyone is friendly all holiday makers are english- no germans hogging the beds!! everyone is out for a good time and thats how our holiday ended up being so nice. Like emre said to us on our last night people pay money to come here- if i can put a smile on peoples faces and make there time here more enjoyable i will. thats exactly what he did. country is beautiful dont be put off.
