We received a very warm welcome on our arrival from Carol and Mike, quickly followed by the offer of refreshments. Despite it being a very hot day the room was lovely and cool and remained so throughout our stay which was a bonus. The bed was very comfortable, the room spotless and the shower in the en suite was great after a days cycling.
There was an exceptional array of goodies for breakfast, including croissants, fresh fruit, cereals and a great selection of Carol's homemade jams, bread and cakes and as much tea, coffee and juice as was required.
As cyclists, all the above are very important (especially the food!) However, our bikes were also well catered for having their own shed to stay in when not required. I understand that there is also the availability to dry wet clothing, although in temperatures of 35 degrees we didn't require this!. There was also the facility to fill up our water bottles with filtered water as well.
Carol and Mike could not have done any more to make our stay an enjoyable experience, they are both extremely friendly and are happy to explain more about the wonderful town of Combourg and its environs. Thank you both for a wonderful six days. Angie and Nick

We were given a fantastic welcome by Mike and Carol Rushton. Tea on the patio and a wonderful guided tour of their beautiful garden (including games with their Labrador/Pointer which is released only when guests are happy for that to happen) were followed by a delightful reminisce on careers at sea. Dinner in Combourg reminded us of this lovely town packed full of excellent eateries. Carol was kind enough to make recommendations and Mike drove us to and fro - such excellent service. Slepe Cottage is immaculate, the rooms light, airy and very comfortable, and the continental breakfast a real treat with a great selection of local breads accompanied by Carol's home-grown jams. This is an excellent place for a stop-over prior to catching the ferry from St Malo and as a base fort exploring the local area. We'd be mad not to use Slepe Cottage on our next transit through the area.

Room Tip: All rooms are en-suite

On our travels from Ireland we had booked this delightful B&B for one night. We were warmly greeted by Mike and Carol who showed us to our room and filled us in about the locality. The proximity of the property to interesting sites in the area is brilliant and close enough to restaurants for a pleasant meal in the evening (Mike is very willing to drive you to the restaurant so you can have a drink or two with your meal and not have to worry). The breakfast in the morning was fantastic with a lot of the breads cakes and jams being made by Carol, even the eggs had just been freshly picked that morning. All I can say I would not want to stay at a hotel in the area with such an extremely well run B&B available I will definitely be back on our next travels through this area. Ps thanks for the cake Carol it was very much appreciated on the the long journey down to Carcassonne.

My husband and I have stayed a couple of times at Slepe Cottage - most recently in April 2013. It is still spotlessly clean and the beds as comfortable as before. The welcome is great, the breakfast very satisfying and weather permitting, relaxing on the patio after a days sightseeing is most enjoyable.
It's a brilliant location for getting to places like St Malo, Mont St Michel, Cancale ( great for oysters ), Dinan, Dinard. Dol de Bretange, Rennes and many more ( all well worth a visit ). Combourg has a selection of restaurants for dining. 'Pepone' , a new one is very good.
If you are taking a trip to Brittany, for whatever reason, Slepe Cottage is the place to stay.

This is an excellent B&B only 30 mins from St Malo just outside the pretty town of Combourg, ideally located for visiting surrounding area. Rooms are spotless, very comfortable beds, all en-suite, could not fault the hospitality Mike and Carol made us very welcome nothing was too much trouble, excellent breakfast (fresh eggs every day!) and plenty of it. Will definitely be returning and would thoroughly recommend this delightful establishment.

My wife and I stayed once again at this delightful B&B.
We were not disappointed and used it as a base for exploring the areas locally we didnt have time to see last time!
Despite it being a little while since we last visited the standard of accomodation and cleanliness is just as good as before! Spotless!
Hospitality was first rate!
Once again i would recommend!

Room Tip: The owners have a wealth of local knowledge ask them!

Mike and Carol are amazing hosts and really make you feel welcome. Lovely rooms, comfy beds and a great breakfast, we would definitely stay again. House is about 1 km out of town but very easily located just off the highway.
