We stayed here in October, which is considered off-season, but it was exactly what we were looking for. In an already remote area off the coast of Sicily, this resort is tucked away on the edge of the island of Salina. The views are phenomenal, both looking out at the ocean over the vineyard, and looking inward into the island's large peak. The pool deck has the most amazing view I've ever seen! The food in the restaurant is very good (but not cheap) and obviously offers a great wine selection. Breakfast was okay, until we realized we could also request specific dishes - a helpful hint for a future visit! Rooms are spacious with generous sized patios, the grounds are quite large and extremely well kept. The staff are friendly and helpful. Although it may take a while to get to this destination, I promise it is well worth it.

Not sure where to begin, but this might the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Not the most luxurious but the most perfect. Attention is paid to every detail. The style is elegant, understated with the right kind of simplicity. The views are stunning, the grounds including the vineyards are very well kept, and the atmosphere is one of serenity. In terms of the Michelin guide: well with the trip. Which certainly also applies to the restaurant. Simply delicious, upscale, laid back with modern inventive food that does great honour to Italian and Sicilian culinary tradition. Best of all though is the staff. They get it.

We enjoyed our stay and the hotel and its staff fully met our expectations. From the pick-up shuttle at the port when we arrived, the welcome at the reception, the arrival in our room, the bar & restaurant and all the staff, everything was perfect.

The location of the resort and its concept are amazing. I found combining wine and gastronomy business with Luxury hotellery is a very smart idea. The view from our room on the sea and Lipari is incredible, the style, comfort and decoration of the resort is very classy and nice, and above all we enjoyed the gardens, the plants, the swimming pool and the vineyards surrounding us.

Final but not least, the breakfast and the wines (own production) are perfect.

Room tip: Ask for clean, non-smoking, renovated and spacious room

This is a beautiful resort and worth the drive and ferry to get here (I do recommend at least 3 nights though). The location is is about 2 miles from the little town (they offer a free shuttle that showed up when the ferry arrived), and located in a very pretty vineyard. The views around the property are fantastic! The restaurant is also superb and the service is professional and friendly. It's a relaxing and fairly quiet resort which we loved (we stayed in early Sept. and there were no kids except 1 baby). I recommend room #9 which had a large bathroom with huge tub and an incredible view.

Room tip: Room #9 had a large bathroom and tub and an amazing view from the porch.

The food is very simple but perfect. We had a perfect pasta with fresh and sun dried tomatoes. We also enjoyed a fresh tuna club sandwich and a quinoa salad with arugula, pine nuts and Mazzaro shrimp. The cattaratto and perri cone wines were superb. The staff is attentive, friendly and very helpful. This is hospitality at it's finest!
