“So slow!”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Service was slow and the restaurant was cramped. I understand it was a Saturday night, but even so, it was not a nice surrounding.

“Super food, great service”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

This restaurant is just across the street from the Star hotel in Saronno. We had just arrived from Canada into Milan and taken the Malpensa express to Saronno to stay at the Star hotel for one night before continuing on our tour. We wanted a simple local restaurant close to our hotel with good food. This place met all of our wishes. We were surprised when we arrived to find the outdoor area had been booked for groups and the inside was almost completely full. We waited a few minutes for the owner to find us a table. When we travel we always look for a restaurant that the locals favor as it usually has the best food. This was no exception. Most of the patrons were locals. It seemed like a family run business. The server was very helpful and patient in helping us to select food and wine and the service was great. It was a great welcome to Italy. If you stay at the Star hotel give this place a try but arrive early or you will be waiting awhile.

“Good pizza, surely waitress”
Reviewed July 24, 2012

Tablecloths on the tables at a pizzeria usually signal expensive food but this was right opposite our hotel the Grand, and with an out door eating area. So we tried it. We were among first to arrive at about 8pm but it quickly filled up. The thin crust pizza was good and was made in a real wood fired oven so had the right flavour. However, the waitress was a llittle abbrupt and surely, and the pzzas were about double the equivalent of the pizzerias near the train station, about 150m from hotel the other side of the railway lines. So I suggest you try eg the Santa Maria instead of this one for cheaper better, faster and much more friendly staff

It was a great respite from a long day of work. The servers were proficient in English and very helpful with helping me select a dish.
