Perfect location. Small but very cute house. Warm pool. Nearby good Taverna. Sea and wild beach just 150 m.
Had 9 nights at Villa Filia. Just myself and my wife. Villa sleeps 4 but top room is open plan at top of stairs and I personally feel it is suited to family and not 2 couples. Villa spotless on arrival and very comfortable firm beds with superb Aircon. Lounge small and just one settee but obviously this doesn't get used really. Kitchen is basic but does the job. No microwave. Shower powerful and floor needs mopping after shower. Swimming pool is the biggest we have had on our villa holidays, great temperature and kept clean. You do need to clear out dive-bombing wasps though. The villa is the front one and next to road and Liberty's Taverna. The road is quiet and Taverna does lovely food and is very friendly. There are 5 Tavernas locally, Liberty's, Avra on beach and Mythos on main road, all of these are great. George Tavern we did not use, and the one beginning with Z we used once but never again after waiting 30 mins for a drink.
The area of Almiros is very quiet and not as of yet commercial in any way, although they are rebuilding and extending local beach resort hotel. We did a few trips which we booked in Acharavi and got picked up at local supermarket, about 10-15 mins walk. We walked to Acharavi couple times which is about 20 mins and Roda, which is about 12km once. Acharavi is ok with plenty of bars on front and main road set back, Roda is smaller but very nice. We also walked to a lake in other direction and At Spyridon beach, again 3-4 HR walk with stop.
In conclusion if you like to holiday in a quiet area and either walk, drive or bus then Villa Filia will be superb for you and Akis the owner is very helpful and there for any little issues.
