I stayed in this accomodation for two nights.
Maria the owner is really kind and helpful and she upgraded our room gratis, so we had an excellent view straight to the sea.
During the night you can only listen to the waves, during the day you can either sit on the balcony and watch around or stepping down to the shore and having a swim.
Free parking very convenient if you have a car, which will also help you to visit the area around and visit other beaches nearby (Lygaria, Agia Pelagia etc), or the town of Herakleion and Knossos.
The tavern on the ground floor also very convenient with tasty cooking and friendly ambience, where you can also take a coffee or a drink.
Main handicap of the whole area is the power plant at the west end of the coast.

This review is for the taverna and beach only as I didn't stay in these apartments but I feel I needed to mention Stelios, Yarris (sorry for spelling) and the other staff at this wonderful gem of a tavern. I travelled as a single woman and was treat with the utmost respect by everybody here and had a great night dancing and drinking Raki with the locals. I had the best pork gyros pitta wrap ever there too. Stelios works very hard and always remained smiling and professional. Miss you all after my wonderful time spent in your company. Thank you x

We stayed here for 5 nights. The apartment was very clean and was comfortable and spacious. We had a balcony overlooking the sea. The apartments have direct access onto the sandy beach, with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available at no charge as long as you buy a drink from the tavern.
The main road is about 200 yards from the apartments with shops and restaurants, and a bus stop with frequent buses to Heraklion and the airport.
The Troulis tavern is attached to the apartments, we are there a couple of times and the food was very good and reasonably priced.
Maria the owner was very helpful. We had regular e mail contact with her and she helped us to organise transport from the port. Would definitely recommend.

Cannot fault the hospitality of Aris and Stelios at the Golden Beach. We were greeted with a smile and kindness every time we came to visit. Best part of the beach at Amoudara, you must go! Food and drinks delicious and cannot emphasise enough the impeccable service!
