“Second stay - perfect as before”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

This B&B would put many 5 star hotels to shame with the warm welcome, delicious breakfast - including the incredible 20+ fresh fruit mix - and room facilities which leave guests wanting for nothing. This was our second 3 night stay as we regularly visit the area and we are pleased to have found such an excellent place.

I've got to admit I don't normally stay in B&Bs but my friend arranged this for me. Well I will really have to rethink that in future as this was truley Excellent.

Beautiful room with lots of well thought out little extras. Shower is one of best I have ever used.

Breakfast was amazing- I wish I could of eaten it all. Starting with a 16!!! fruit salad, then an excellent fully cooked breakfast.

Wonderful friendly hosts- I look forward to future visits.

This is a grade 2 listed building and as such you would would find it hard to find a straight wall, floor or door frame, even wooden shutters on the windows, this all adds to the charm of this B&B. In our room all the funiture is quality and modern with double bed and double reclining sofa. Our room had a power shower and modern sanitaryware. Paintwork and cleanleness was emaculate. There was a survival kit of so many essentuals that you might forget to take with you on holiday and then go and buy, ie first aid kit, tooth brushes, shoe cleaning, sewing kit, manicure kit, torch, toiletries and lots more..There is a wide choice for breakfast. off road parking and a short walk to shops and supermarket. If there is a down side we did not find it, well recomended.

We spent five days at Dial house and could not have been looked after better. The breakfasts were outstanding and the rooms extremely comfortable. It was lovely to have the fruit at breakfast (some home grown)and also the locally sourced produce. The little courtyard garden is a delight. We would love to stay there again, as we felt so welcome.

Stayed at Dial House on Sunday 2nd September 2012 on our way to Suffolk. I fully endorse all comments made - had a wonderful stay, room was superb very large with a settee and lovely en suite. Breakfast was to die for - started with a bowl of fresh fruit and counted about fifteen different fruits some I had never tried before followed by a lovely cooked breakfast. Robert and Jackie were very welcoming into their beautiful property and I don't think we have stayed at a better B & B and we have stayed in many over the years. Many many thanks to the owners they deserve every accolade going.

My Husband and I booked the Dial House based on the reviews on trip advisor and stayed for two nights over the bank holiday weekend. When we first saw the building, we were very impressed. It looked full of character and was immaculate but inside was even better. Decorated to a very high standard and very in keeping with the age of the building, Dial House is very warm and welcoming. We stayed in the Miss Elizabeth room and to say it was stunning is an understatement. The attention to detail is second to none, and the obvious pride and love Bob and Jacquie have for the place shines through. The room was very spacious, decorated to a very high standard and extremely comfortable and was complimented by a beautiful en-suite shower room. We've stayed in 5* hotels which haven't been as good and the added extras made it even better. In one of the drawers was an assortment of items such as hot water bottle, manicure kit, note paper and envelopes and pens and in the bathroom there was another box which had things like plasters, toothbrushes and toothpaste, nail scissors, face wipes etc. All the little things that you forget to pack. They really have thought of everything to make your stay perfect.
Breakfast really deserves a review of it's own. As soon as you sit down, Bob brings you a delicious dish of fruit with so many different types of fruit and a beautiful homemade chocolate on top, which prepares you perfectly for the main full English which was cooked and presented to perfection. Accompanied by toast with a choice of homemade jam or marmalade which is better than anything I've ever bought in the shops. If ever Bob and Jacquie decide to open a restaurant, I guarantee they'll be fully booked constantly! They are the best hosts, on hand to give any help or information you need. The whole experience was amazing and we can't recommend Dial House enough. If we're even remotely close to Downham Market, we'll be staying at the Dial House again. Thanks Bob and Jacquie :)

Room Tip: The Miss Elizabeth room is a beautiful spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable and quiet room...
