We absolutely loved Estancia Cerro Guido! The hotel has 15 rooms (5 rooms in the smaller building and 10 in the larger building), in historical buildings that have tons of character and all the comforts you'd expect and require during your stay. We arrived on a rainy day and enjoyed the fireplace in our room and big bathtub in the late afternoon, after some soggy hiking in the park.

The food was exquisite - a dinner with a set menu (three options to choose from for the main dish) that was delicious and included guanaco ravioli, roasted patagonian lamb or congrio. The breakfast was a buffet with waffles, toast / breads and cereals, which suited us just fine.

We also did the tour of the Estancia (which was part of the package at Estancia Cerro Guido), which was incredibly interesting. We especially loved the tour of the sheering building, which still uses 100 year old technology.

After having lived in Chile for over 2 years and toured the country extensively, you really recognize quality when you see it - this is definitely an awesome place to stay to get a different view of Patagonia and Estancia life, and the highlight of our trip to Patagonia. It is worth going a little bit out of your way to stay here!

This was the highlight accommodation in Patagonia. I was on a week-long horseback riding trip -- tough country and sometimes windy or rainy days -- and the fireplace in the room was most welcome for sore muscles and tired people. The grounds were extensive -- it's much larger than a B&B but had the same kind of feel to it, with very comfortable and soft beds and beautiful rooms. The views from the ranch were incredible. The food was tasy. We were also given a tour of the ranch, including its giant sheep sheering facility. It was a fun place to be and I am sorry we were there for only one night. I'd highly recommend this as your base for exploration. It is on the more expensive end -- but you get what you pay for -- and if you've come all this way, you may as well splurge!

A true Patagonia experience in this honest estancia. Friendly owners and staff can turn your stay a deep immersion in the Patagonian spirit. One hour away from the park, cerro guido is a superp alternative to paine's costly offers. Highly advisable!

Cerro Guido was the highpoint of our Patagonia trip. We stayed in the former owner's house which was 30 minutes by car from the main part of the ranch. This house, in the Las Chinas valley, was a hidden jewel. We experienced the vast beauty of Torres del Paine without the crowds, going on hikes on unmarked trails except for a stake placed strategically every 500 meters. Coming back to the house and stoking the wood fires was a particularly nice touch. The staff of Cerro Guido were all extremely friendly and genuine. We enjoyed the comforts of luxury without pretentiousness.

Room Tip: If you are a group of 5 and over --or even 3 or 4, stay at the house in the Las Chinas valley. It is secluded and comfortable.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Very windy for some of the time and unable to get into the park due to a fire. Luckily this hotel is outside the park as those in the park had to be evacuated.Scenery around is stunning and plenty of good walks near the hotel. It is a small comfortable hotel ( especially comfortable beds) and the staff are friendly and helpful. Food is very good including the packed lunches as is the wine.Lots of horses( well behaved) available.
Wonderful views of the stars as there is nothing nearby ( and electricity is off during the night). No mobile reception but there is WI FI. If you don´t want to be outside in bad weather bring a good book! Would recommend.
