Obviously the views are outstanding and we were lucky enough to have perfect weather but I was impressed with the hard working staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Very busy over Christmas but they always met our requests with a smile. I know others were unimpressed with the food but think about where you are and the difficulties the must be overcome to run a place like this. We had no complaints, only praise.

My husband and I found Hosteria Las Torres the most spectacular place we ever stayed. The view from our bedrooom - an Almirante Nieto view - was mind boggling. The guides were so helpful, knowledgable and friendly. We stayed three nights; we only regretted that we could not
have stayed longer! Our travel agent from Imagine Latin America had planned it all so perfectly.
The weather cooperated, and the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was varied, but the fish and lamb were fresh. We enjoyed be int he park and walking from the hotel directly onto the hiking trail so that we could avoid so much sitting in vans. Loved the place and would return in a hearbeat.

Room Tip: Get the room with the Almirante Nieto view

We stayed here for 3 nights, taking the all-inclusive plan. We had a room in the new building; it was relatively small, with a king-size bed taking up the majority of the room. There was no television in the room, and rather slow wireless (note that you need to go to the front desk to register your device before it will work). The bathroom was a good size; we were near the hot water tank so the hot water came out of the taps almost immediately, but we heard that people at the other end of our building had to wait a while for the hot water to arrive.

Most of the staff is quite young, but we felt that they were friendly and helpful and never had any issues with them. The food at the restaurant was buffet for breakfast and dinner; it's certainly not 5 star, but I compared it to a good home-cooked meal. We had lunch at the restaurant the day we arrived, which was a few options from a menu. Luis at the restaurant was really good. For excursions, we took two full-day options and one half day. Our two guides (Gonzalo and Eduardo) were both very good. The half-day tour was to the Blue Lagoon - it was fine, but mostly driving in the van. The next day we did the Full Paine tour - I enjoyed it, but there is essentially no hiking (again, primarily in the van), so if you're at the park for lots of hiking do not take this option. Finally, the French Valley hike was our last excursion - it was fun, but at 20+ km round-trip I can imagine it wouldn't appeal to everyone!

Overall, while it is expensive we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Las Torres. We also used them to transfer to and front El Calafate, and everything about that went smoothly.

We stayed here three nights. Fortunately the weather was kind to us apart from being incredibly windy. Our room looked out onto a grassed area where there were horses grazing morning and evening. The room was large and comfortable with adequate storage. Our only complaint was that the shower had to be run for a considerable amount of time (20 minutes) before it reached a decent temperature which was very wasteful.
Breakfasts were in the restaurant - a separate building a short walk away. The food was reasonably varied. Service and stocking of the breakfast buffet was variable depending on the staff on duty. We did not use the restaurant in the evening as the menu was very limited and didn't appeal and was expensive. We ate in the bar where there was a reasonable range of meals including fillet steak at a sensible price. Service was good and there was a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. A musician played in the bar late evening. There was a very comfortable, quiet lounge, situated away from the bar and restaurant, with splendid views. Information on the excursions was only available for a short time in the evenings and it would have been better if details had been set out and available at other times. Some of the organised trips were very expensive. We did our own walks which were easy to do.

Room Tip: Our room had lovely views, on the ground floor at the back of the hotel, between the reception and t...

The food seemed to go from mediocre to good, but the service was fantastic. The setting is superb and the amount of activities makes sure that all levels/types are catered for. I could have stayed here easily for a week

Nice rooms and a great location. Having said that the evening meal is essential unless you had lunch somewhere as there are no alternatives and at around £25 a head sans grog it is a bit steep. The bar offered pizza, etc but most of the items were missing. Breakfast was ok but the staff approach on one of the mornings where we had a late breakfast was poor with most things having run out and people consistently having to ask them to get some more. They have a reallly weird system for wifi but it works ok. Only some of the rooms have safes, which is poor. I'd say nice location, nice rooms but the staff could have a better approach and most additional items are quite expensive

Room Tip: Make sure your room has a safe

What a supa time we had at this hotel. The stunning views, excellent staff and friendly service was evident for the thee days of our stay. Food was very good with buffet style for evening meals. Lots of activities and great to see the horses roaming free around the hotel on the large expanses. We enjoyed our stay greatly and in particular we loved having the tours with Patrick who could not have been more helpful. It made such a difference to have a helpful and informative guide. The room was very warm and comfortable.

Room Tip: any room further away from the action would be better
