We stayed here for 1 night before travelling to 4000 Islands. The room that we stayed in was one of those at the hotel that appeared to have been recently refurbished and was reasonable. There was hot water and it was fairly clean. The hotel overall was dark and dingy. Service was reluctant and the Wifi did not work. The room rate was very expensive for this hotel.

I paid 60.000Kips per night per a room with fan and wc, for this price you have better options at the same street. Lot of mosquitos in Pake and broken mosquito net at the room window. Dark & small room with dark furniture and very, very hot. There are rooms wit ac and tv per 150.000Kips. Nice and professional people at reception.

Room Tip: If street view: noisy if corredor view: very hot

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay before the dreaded sleeper bus journey to Vientiane. The reception had our booking and we were given our room key with no problems. They even gave our money back when we mistakenly paid for our room twice! The room was large, new Sony tv (only a couple of English channels), they provided towels and minimal toiletries. We had the deluxe room so it also had a fridge (not sure if the other rooms have this). The only downsides were that it was slightly dirty in the bathroom and the mattress had this plastic covering. I understand that they want to protect the mattress but when the sheets don't fit the bed, it can be a bit pants to sleep on the plastic sheet thing. WIFI only worked downstairs but the shower was hot, the sheets cleanish (apart from a few hairs) and chilled water in the room was a nice touch after a long hot day.
Lock on the doors could be better and I didn't like the fact that the windows MIGHT be able to be opened from the outside but this could be my slight paranoia from watching too many crime programs!

We need a stop over on our way to Vietnam so we found "Lankham" around the corner from our drop off point.
Their rooms start at 5,000K €5 but the newly renovated rooms are 15,000K €15 but well worth it.
We got a big clean room with TV, Fridge, Aircon and nice bathroom. There is no Wifi in the rooms but is available in the lobby. This was a surprisingly good place to stay for a reasonable price. The service isn't great but that really didnt bother us and seems to be pretty common in Laos.

While the room was decent enough for the price (60,000) we had two very poor nights' sleep due to the activities of the brothel on our floor (3rd floor, room numbers starting with 4). The management had no interest in telling them to be quiet and so we had to endure the constant opening and slamming of doors and girls screeching until it finally stopped at about 11pm. If you stay then upgrade to the pricier rooms downstairs and be prepared to still hear the noise echoing throughout the bare corridors.

Room Tip: Do not sleep on the top floor (rooms numbered 4__).

The newer aircon rooms are decent, location is also a plus.
Go the hotel for a booking instead of using agoda, this will save you some bucks.

No problem in recommending this hotel to others, would stay there again.

We stayed here overnight before our flight to Luang Prabang. We'd booked it as we wanted a budget hotel and that is what we got. The room was clean and spacious with a decent bathroom. However, the hotel had a funny set-up with rows of rooms along the corridor with the windows facing into the corridor (covered by a curtain). The staff were not very helpful, but it wasn't an issue. They just handed us the key when we arrived and we handed it back the following morning.

It's a reasonable place to stay but not if you want a bit of luxury.
