was here for a couple of nights. had a double room in front of the mainstreet for 60 000 kip. Towels are dirty and you would not want to touch their blankets (looks disgusting). Shower had no ventilation - although their water pressure is great. Overall, clean but not super clean. I think you can get better elsewhere. Staffs are helpful and friendly though.

Room Tip: choose rooms away from the main street

60.000Kip for a double room seemed to be a good deal - until the next morning. Bed bugs were all over the place, a whole colony lived in the mattress and our bodies were massacred with bites. As we reported this to the management they only muttered "sorry". I'm almost sure that bed bugs will/have spread in this hotel because they told us their laundry is done with cold water. Hence we didn't want to clean our clothes at their place since it doesn't kill the bugs. I had the feeling that they didn't really know what they were dealing with and didn't take it seriously.

Also, rent your motorbikes elsewhere as theirs are old and badly maintained. There are a few guest houses around and you get better value for your money elsewhere!

I stayed at the Langkam Hotel after arriving VERY early in the morning on the night bus from Vientiene.
It was one of the places recommended in Lonely Planet in my budget & was listed as a good spot for Pho.
The place itself was a bit run down but the location is central.
The hotel had undergone a 'refurbishment' - looked like it was still happening whilst I was there.
I saw a few rooms & opted for the last. It wasn't spotlessly clean by any means but was much cleaner than the others I saw!! Though the bathroom was manky the shower was ok.
I opted for an ensuite room with fan only - think was about 70,000Kip a night.
The staff were ok - just be wary of them. I asked at a few Travel Agencies around town before booking my onward bus & the prices in the hotel were a bit higher.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the back of the property as its a bit quieter.

For a backpacking trip, what i need is only a clean bed and shower. The lady owner is definitely a really friendly one and she would help you for the arrangement when we're staying there.Stayed a night upon arrival at Pakse and switch to NangNoi guesthouse after 3 nights in Champasak and Siphandon.

It was an okay place to be for a night, but it lacks a bit of atmosphere and the rooms have quite a musty smell. Then again, the price is quite reasonable, so maybe this is what you should expect. The people working here are very nice though and there's wifi in the lobby downstairs.

If you came here as a pit stop on the way to Vientainne then this does the job for one night. This hotel has the choice of old, new and newer rooma which is probably why there are many negative reviews here. We choose the middle ones and it was ok for an inbetween stop. The rooms were clean and average. Cant really complain really although our a/c did not work (ok though as it was a cool evening). Shower has hot water and there is a fridge to chill your drinks.

It was a shame though that wifi did not reach the 3rd floor and even at the lobby it was very on and off. Staff were nice enough and the location is in the heart of everything (cafes, atms, markets).

Overall a pleasant stay considering Pakse doesnt have much to do and see in the town.

I stayed here for a couple of nights. It was pretty grubby and the rooms felt dirty and not particularly looked after. It is fairly convenient - near a supermarket and not too far from the bus station. The bathrooms are small and not particularly inviting - you just want to get as clean as you can and move on. Would I recommend? Sure, if you don't have much of a choice... but a new place has opened up down the road that seems a lot better - I'd go there...
