Dirty windows, tacky plastic flowers (not tacky enough to be modern), broken toiletseat and a lot of cold coming in through the door (they have to install a thick curtain!). That's to start with the negative (I am critical but serious!)
Very warm welcome, interesting menu and very nice staff!
Apetizer strange (popcorn!)
Starters: Mussels were great but the chevice missed the balance between fish and salad (too much green) and between sour and sweet (the mango was not sweet) though I love the cilantro /lime / chili!
Maincourse: Salmon was really great and the cod also, wrapped in paper (papillotte) but you don't need to put herbes on the outside of the paper! Great taste!!
Wine: really overpriced, when I order a bottle (around 50 euro was the cheapest) I do expect some quality.
Dessert: Heavenly one of the best crema catalano I have tasted. Really fresh, could perhaps have a bit less cinamon. And a great dessertwine (which wasn't on the meny.)
Suggestion: cheese (spanish) plate, that would make the evening complete.
Nice evening and we will come back!!
