“Indian Muslim Restaurant”
Review of Bismillah Cendol

Ranked #3 of 4 Dessert in Taiping
Restaurant details
Reviewed December 24, 2013

This is one of the most famous Indian Muslim restaurants in the 80's. It was famous for its roti chanai (Indian bread) with beef sauce. You had to lined up to get your order. It is located in main road infront of the old clock tower. Today it is still famous but the taste is not what is used to be. Lunch they have buffet style food. you pick and choose the food you want and pay for it. average price is around rm6-00.

Yes, this cendol is good. No, it is not much better than most other places that serve cendol. Is it worth going to? Yes, definitely, if you happen to be in the neighborhood. No, if it means you would be going out of your way.

Its delightful when you find tasty food and even more delightful when you come back year after year and the chendol still tastes the same. Its the number 1 chendol spot in town.

Everyone seems to know this place to be THE chendol shop in Taiping. At certain times of the day, there's quite a queue, which tells you it must be good.

I personally like the one with the big red beans. Other than that, the green chendol, copious amounts of gula melaka and coconut milk, there's not much else in it.

Very refreshing on the hot sweaty days that are increasingly common these days...
