I was born and raised in Taiping, but i was born in 93 so i never got to experience their hawker stalls. But what i can say is that Doli was by far the best kueh teow i ever had in Taiping along with Abu Samah. It still retained it's flavor eventhough they moved from a humble sall to a humble restaurant. But as their popularity rises, and more customers came in, i noticed that the restaurant was not what it used to be, the taste of the food is somewhat less attractive. But it's not only Doli that suffers the same fate, even resturants such as Abu Samah falls in quality once they have more and more customers. We have to understand that as the number of people increases the food quality will decrease as well. We cant fully blame Doli for their lack of quality, things like this happens to businesses once hey have reached a certain point. But the owners too must acknowledge that their food quality is deteriorating and must find a solution to fix this. I hope all you outsiders will understand why the food was not as great as it once was. Perhaps one day, Doli will improve it's quality and live up to it's name.
