“Flowerpot was good, boat tour just OK”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

We liked Flowerpot Island and spent two hours walking to the Lighthouse and back with a picnic, it was warm but windy, the side with the flowerpots was quite sheltered from the wind on that side of the island.

When they say two or four hours on the island, we opted for two thinking thats loads of time - we were wrong. We did only managed to walk to the lighthouse viewing the flowerpots and cave on the way, sit for 15 mins eating a snack then walking back for the boat. I would like to do the across the bluff/ inland route next time.

We took the Glass bottom boat out to the island but due to the weather and low water level had to transfer onto the rib boat to dock. The Heron V glass bottom boat tour on the way was boring and guides made not attempt to hide the fact they have said the words thousands of times.

Next time I will only get the rib boat out to the island, tour really not worth the extra time it takes.

“Amazing Tours, A++ Staff”
Reviewed June 17, 2012

Great boat tours of all different kinds. You can take fast express boats to Flowerpot Island, or Large and leisurely Glass bottom boats or a combination of both.
Well worth the money and certain hotels in the area offer 2 for 1 tickets with Blue Heron. (Harbourside Motel is one of them)
