You just gotta have Fish and Chips in a place like Tobermory. And the Fish & Chips Place is a good choice. You get a good view of the harbour while you eat. The fries are good and the battered White Fish is excellent.

Place was place was nearly full, but some tables available, when we arrived just after noon. Sat down, server approached us within 5 mins. Instead of individual meals, we ordered the 12 piece and an order of large fries. Fish was excellent, thin batter, good portions, perfectly done. Fries were good as one might expect. Would go back again.

While the location is great, we couldn't get a smile from the server, the kid's menu was essentially non existent, and the food was mediocre. Disappointed.

Pretty expensive for what we got. Kind of like fast food but with a waiter and a liquor licence. I ordered calamari and a fish taco, and my hubby had the whitefish and chips. Everything comes in a wooden salad bowl lined with wax paper. The taco came wrapped in paper, but with a knife and fork (no plate). The calamari was breaded strips (like clam strips).... tasty but obviously frozen from a box. Fish taco was a little weird.... breaded fish "chunks" with sliced cabbage and salsa. I ordered guacamole, which came in a tiny plastic cup and cost an extra buck fifty. I ate it off the paper with the knife and fork because there was no way you could pick that sucker up and eat it like a burrito. My husband said his fish and chips were OK. Our meal came to 40 bucks and all we had to drink were two soft drinks. Waiter had WAY too many tables.... felt sorry for him, but he was hustling!

We thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips on offer at The Fish and Chip Place. The fish was hot, fresh and the chips were excellent. The service was very good and friendly with it. This is a no frills eatery, so you can't linger over your meal, but that isn't really the point with fish and chips.
