A friend and I stayed at Les Valmonts for four nights (mid-week) to do a bit of spring skiing. The rooms were rather sparsely decorated and had functional furniture. We both found the beds (one double bed and a convertible sofa) to be firm but comfortable. While we didn't cook, the kitchen seemed to have the basics. The residence itself had few amenities other than those that are necessary for a ski resort (e.g. ski locker), but it was largely as advertised. However, we had a couple of disappointments. First, the Pierre & Vacances web site lists the residence as having a sauna when, in fact, it is located at the aquatic centre for Les Menuires. Unfortunately, the aquatic centre is quite a ways from the residence, and not a trip that you want to make after a long day of skiing the 3 valleys. Second, the residence is located quite a walk from restaurants and shops in the les Bruyères area. Furthermore, because Les Menuires is so spread out, it isn't very easy to get to any of the other areas (even using the village bus service). Of course, one has to balance this against it's proximity to the Bruyères lift and, at the time we stayed, the very reasonable rates.
