We invited our local host to dinner and he recommended this restaurant. The food was excellent, the drinks were good. Portions were not small. Service was very good. There was a little rain so we were not able to sit outside but the inside was air conditioned, the ceilings were high and made of the local palm materials. Beautiful and impressive! Very Polynesian atmosphere. My husband had the local tuna, just seared lightly, and salad with goat cheese, I had the Tahitian tuna with coconut milk, sashimi, our guests had the lamb and the girl had the burger. They shared the salad with goat cheese. We enjoyed our dinner at Mai Kai. Highly recommended.
