During our honeymoon, in Bora Bora, we went once time to this restaurant, to have dinner. It had great reviews on TripAdvisor and, in addition to that, it was in the list of recomended restaurants, in our hotel (The St. Regis Bora Bora).
The restaurant provided us free transportation from the boat harbor, in the main island.
Mai Kai is a large restaurant with a funny and lively ambiance. In the night we went there, there was live music. The restaurant was full but we had dinner without being bothered with that fact.
The menu had a good variety of options. We ate tuna for starter; prawns and tuna beef as main courses. For dessert an AWESOME creme brulee and delicious profiteroles.
The food was really good, tasty and served in large doses.
The staff was efficient and kind.
We paid a bit but it's normal in Bora Bora.
We reccomend Mai Kai Bora Bora for a truly experience of polynesian delicacies prepared in a very sublime french way!
