We had been here in years ago and our son picked it for his 21st birthday! Over $200 later for 3 people it was very disappointing. Overpriced menu for the quality of food. Appetizers tasty but not fresh. Ahi tuna chewy and tough! Roasted potatoes undercooked! Dessert had whipped cream, but they said they didn't have any for the Irish Coffees! Seriously!!! And no adjustments to the bill. Not likely to go back!

Goat cheese salad was best part of meal. Prime rib steak was fatty and bland. Thai curry seafood was ok but have had better. Crime brûlée was tasteless and overpriced. Entire meal was overpriced and when we paid with gift certificates we were told they could not be used towards tip and any leftover would not be refunded. Our friends paid full price for these gift certificates yet any money left over was lost. Can you say rip off? Won't be returning.

Ric's Grill in St. Albert, built on the site of the old Bruin Inn downtown is a higher-end restaurant in St. Albert. I have eaten here numerous times and never been disappointed. Extensive menu with seasonal specials. Good wine list. Great steaks.

The lounge or restaurant is a great place to be any Thursday night as they have a live jazz duo or trio performing.

I am still drooling about our meal last night, at the St. Albert location of Ric's Grill. We were open to suggestions by the manager for everything from our wine to appies to mains to desserts. Ahi Tuna, delicious. Cocktails, yummy. Out of the four of us, my main was voted tastiest, a filet with Borsin cheese, it was like that scene out of What About Bob, where Bill Murray just keeps going on about the meal, hehe. We finished with the vanilla bean creme brulle and a cappucino cake with specialty coffees that I wish Starbucks could serve. Service was incredibly attentive and the suggestions opened us up to menu items we would not normally order, but thoroughly enjoyed. Going back for sure next time we are in town!

We were on our way to Nellos on Eastrer Monday and it was unfortunately closed. SO we decided to try out Ric's Grill. There were 4 of us there and we all couldnt finish our meal. The food was terrible. Two of us ordered the coconut curry chicken which was very greasy and mushy. The chefs special were these potatoes that were disgusting they were old and sooo salty. The next meal was a steak that also came with the salt potatoes. The steak was all fat. And the side veggies which you would think would be grilled if its called Rics Grill were boiled. The last meal was the worst. It was a pasta dish with peppercorn steak. We assumed the pasta would have a tomato sauce of some kind however it was peppercorn steak gravy dumped over soggy noddles. The smell was terrible let alone the taste. They have nothing on Chef Boyardee because that is who I would be able to compare this meal to. I am so disgusted we had to waste over 100 on a meal that you could find better in a high school cafe.
