This Italian restaurant boasts a sensational beach side location at the lower end of Progreso. This spot is perfect for a lazy lunch or a romantic dinner with a wide selection of Italian seafood dishes. Unfortunately, after our first two visits in 2010 and 2011, the allure of this charming destination has paled with our most recent lunch in August. Frankly, the price-quality ratio for the many typical Italian seafood dishes we have tried will make us hesitate to return. The owner must believe that the restaurant's unique location, intimate atmosphere and his Italian culinary heritage warrant the high prices. There is surely something to be said for this exceptional location but the high prices for food and especially for their selection of questionably-kept wines will eventually trouble those who are looking for a more balanced experience.
