“Little Island like Maldives of Indonesia”
Review of Pulau Pasir

Owner description: Pulau Pasir is about 45 minutes away by boat from Tanjung Kelayang beach, off Belitung Island. This island is special because during low tide in the morning, it will appear as a sandy island with nothing else on it. Come in the afternoon, when tide rises, it submerges. It is a firm favorite amongst island-hoppers.

Amazing little island, it is only white sands without stone, tree or grass and I think its size only 70 Meters. You must take around 15 minutes by boat from Tanjung Kelayang at Belitung Island. We also swimming there as the water was abit cool, and very clear water, although salty but still could not make your skin feeling sticky. I was happy there as i could take some photos and we also found starfish and jellyfish.

Just.. beautiful. When i went there, the sand was covered with the water , so we swam there and the water was so clear and clean and the view was.. just too good to be true. Definitely gonna visit this place again - hopefully soon.

First, we arrived in Batu Garuda beach. Then, we'll take a boat to this lovely stranded island.
This is a incidental island. PULAU PASIR or the SAND ISLAND.
The hills of sand that formed into a sandy island. Why I said incidental? Because it only appears when the wave is receding. So, we have to go there early! Before the tidal wave coming.

It was VERY BEAUTIFUL! The water is clear! And no barrier between the sea and the shore. The sand is so soft.
You'll find starfishes there. Took a picture, and put them back to the water ASAP!! 5minutes max perhaps.
So... So... Beautiful!!

Really worth your time, money, whatever!

If you are lucky, you can visit this island because it appears randomly. I was lucky so I found it. This island is small and located in the center of the sea.

The tour boat took us here, we can play in the sand, catching starfish (remember to put it back to sea water before 5 minutes! Don't hurt them!), and swimming in the clear sea water.
The island was like 16 m2 big when I got there, all sand. No trees, no buildings (yeah the island was so small).
