“Gorgeous, but overly exposed.”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

It was gorgeous, VERY gorgeous with the tree-high granite stones towering around you creating shallow ponds on the beach. You can play around the granites, explore the tunnel-shaped rock formations and immerse yourself in the 'Castaway' feel the landscape gave. However, as it was a former film set for a popular Indonesia film, its beauty is overly exposed making a huge amount of people flooding the beach in the afternoon.

“rainbow troop beach”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

yes,I come here because of the rainbow troop:) the big stones are amazing and the turqoise water is very temptating. The nature is a beauty but not the rubbish on the sands under huge stones and plants and the vandalism. When I visited this beach in the end of November 2012,the tide was quiet high and so did the currents,no safe guard, and there was hard to find an appropriate public toilet/shower, so I had not enough courage just for "mandi-mandi".I really hope it is going better this year.

“Beautiful beach”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

I like the clear water and nice view with huge rocks.
Don't mind to spend the whole day at this beach but do mind to have meal at one of the restaurants here because we have to fight with flies for our food.

“Spectacular View”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

It would give five stars if only they got rid of those plastic bottles and cans. The view is spectacular, especially the rock formations, they are giant boulders. There are many local restaurants nearby serving mostly seafood.

This place has so much potential, unfortunately is not managed well. Otherwise, it could beat Bora Bora or Maldives.

“Nice beach but..”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Can't fault anything about the rocks, beach or water. The beach is ideal for kids as it's waveless and shallow for many many metres into the water. The sand is extremely soft too.

However as the previous posters have mentioned, the guys managing the beach really do have to take note of the amount of plastic drifting around there. It's not that bad that you'll be swimming in plastic and the average beach in Europe is dirtier but it only took me 5 minutes to fish out quite an amount of plastic packaging. It's at its worst between the granite rocks where the plastic lies at low tide. Hope the local authorities do something quick before it gets ruined with increased tourism.
