Well, if you like dirt, peeling paint, crap tv, and tons of critters you will like this place! I just think the staff has no direction from a person of knowledge about service! It's not their fault they don't have a clue! No training, no self starters on the staff at all. Lor in is slowly falling apart on the most basic level.........as in the actual structure!! If the staff had a "person in charge"........with knowledge of how to run a hotel all could be forgiven. Lor in is like a rudderless ship at sea......and leaks filling the boat with water. Who owns this place? It's embarrassing to the owner? A bad reflection on him or her! OMG! PLease burn the furniture instead of burning the trash.......which will smoke you out! Better furniture at the worst garage sales I have seen. This hotel could be turned around with a real pro in charge. Move on from this hotel! Why bother to run a place like this under current leadership (which there is none)!

We were supposed to stay at this hotel for five nights, but decided to move out after only one night. What a terrible experience! The hotel is old & run-down. The rooms look dated and dirty. When we arrived, the bedsheets were dirty and we had to ask for new ones. The room itself was full of ants, spiders, and other critters. The water in the bathroom was brown/yellow, so we had to use drinking water to brush our teeth. The 'outdoor bathroom' is a cute idea, but actually very impractical, especially at night when all the critters come out. Not fun to use the bathroom at night with all that stuff crawling around! We also had frequent power outages at night, which means no light, no phone, no AC for a while. The restaurant is very basic and the food is pretty bad for the prices they charge. The staff speaks close to no English, so even if they want to help they often can't. The hotel's location may be nice, near the water, but the beach was actually pretty dirty and the water did not seem like it was good to swim in, so besides the nice view this hotel doesn't have much going for it, unfortunately. It's also really far away from the town or anything else, so getting anywhere is a pain. Overall not a good experience and I have stayed at much nicer places in Indonesia for less than half the price (we paid about USD 80/night here). Final verdict: Stay away!

Room Tip: Don't stay there!

We reserved lor inn hotel through telephone, then without any reason the hotel claimed that our reservation has been released despite being confirmed by lor inn on the previous week. We insisted that we already had a reservation and refused to be cancelled. They agreed to provide us a room, we were shocked that when we came on the day we were given a bungalow not located in lor inn complex, but a bungalow outside of lor inn area.

The chief butler by the name of fajar avriansyah, claimed that the bungalow is owned by lor inn. How surprised that out travel guide told us that this is not owned by lor inn, yet i assume that
due to full reservation they outsourced a room for us near lor inn. We were being tricked and lied by the lor inn management.

Another dissapointment came from the fact that the water was dirty with a reddish colour, it doesnt have any hot water. The facility provided was not based on their website.

As a customer being tricked was not a good gesture of hospitality, i hope other travelers could be careful when being promised by lor inn.

Room Tip: Be carefule when being promised by lor inn, when promised "a private beach view"beware tha...

Lorin is located in Tanjung Tinggi, one of the best beach in Belitung Island. I suggest to stay here at least for one night because it is only 15 minutes to Tanjung Kelayang, where you can rent the boat for island hopping tour. The property itself is beautiful, though the maintenance is so-so. They have about 26 cottages, and the Junior Suites is facing the beach (and the public street between). Room is spacious and they have outdoor bathroom with both shower and bathtub. My favorite moment was when I lay down at the patio and staring to the night sky with those millions stars.

I went on December 2011. The cloud was not too good. And yet, you still can get a great snorkelling experience.
We stayed for 3D 2N at this hotel.
This hotel is quite a good one. Nothing special, only for its very close distance to the beach.
Belitung is suitable for backpackers, because everything here is cheap.
I rent a boat for 10 persons capacity (with motors) only for Rp 400.000 per day plus a guide - an experience guide giving you tips about all the great spots for snorkelling.
At Pulau Lengkuas, i guess this is the best from all the islands. scenery are so beautiful.
The water visibility could reach 10 meters.
You could see many varieties of corals. The fishes are not so big.
Oooo.. at Pulau Burung Mandi, you could get a very big pool made by God himself. The water is visible and clean.
But.... Before i went to Karimun jawa, i thought this is the best place for snorkelling.
So, for a beginner snorkellers, this place is suitable.

Stayed during long weekend, the resort is full but not crowded at all. We've got the 3rd farthest bungalow from the lobby, and with a 2yr old with us, it's a bit too far to go back and forth.
By design, the bungalow and open bathroom is really nice and quite big, however it needs maintenance. Our minifridge is not cold and lamp near the wardrobe is off (told the frontdesk staff twice).
Nothing is near this resort, except the beach. Some seafood restaurants are located on the main entrance of the beach, but it is quite a walk. Best to hire a car with driver.

Room Tip: Hotel Feature Tip: If you're with kids, ask for bungalow not too far from lobby/pool. Use the ba...
