“Operates also in low season”
Reviewed October 15, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here in October which is of course low season here and not many places are open. The owner was very friendly to do our laundry as the washing machine for the guests was switched off for the winter. Very reasonable price: 230 Nok including the laundry service :) Only unconvenience was that the bathrooms were coooold. Of course because of trying to save with heating costs. Fortunately the shower water was burning hot ;)

This pearl in the middle of nowhere deserves a wee review. Apart from the hut (5 beds priced kr. 850,- pr. night), well equipped with "ostehøvel", kitchenette/fridge, shower/bathroom, TV and a living room, they have an extra Gimmick. They've hired a "local" lady to serve (good) coffee and chat/entertain the tourists in a "authentic" (though modern) Lavo (Google it!) dressed in a local/ethnic Sami (Laplandic outfit). She's apparently here every year and the tourists seemed to be fascinated! She was definitely entertaining and even though she lives in Bærum (outside Oslo), she still felt her Laplandic roots. It was ok as Gimmicks go and she was sweet.
Met the owner (Marit I think) and her I liked! Generally I just love Finnmark. Don't hesitate to "drop by"!

We stayed at Arctic Motel for several nights, and visited the region from there. An excellent stay! Loved the sauna in the house; friendly and helpful owners. Altogether we had an extraordinary 'study tour' in northern Norway - and this place was one of the highlight places we stayed.
