Behind an anonymous exterior (we drove past twice whilst searching for the restaurant) on a narrow street in the old town (parking a nightmare!) is hidden a real gem.
The quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff are first-rate. There is a wide choice of set menus from €20 upwards.
We enjoyed a starter of foie gras (accompanied by grapefruit – a first for us, but it worked well); followed by turbot with artichoke sauce, and steak, with again an unusual sauce of ginger and lemongrass. The desserts were superb, especially the Café Liégois.
As we left we were asked by other diners not to post any recommendations on the internet ... the locals hope to keep this delightful restaurant their secret!
