“A wonderfull holiday”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

I just came back from my holiday spent in the wonderfull Greece. I want to share my experience as it is still fresh.
First of all about the accomodation: The room was spacious and clean. We had a room with a small terrace with a table and chairs, a small lawn and a perfect view of the sea. The kithcen has a smal oven (grill and cooking possibilites) with cooking plate, fridge with small freezer, some plates and pans. You still need a good knife and other stuff you are used to have in the kitchen. They don't have cofee machine or spices so you need to buy or bring them with you. You can buy anything you need in the supermarkets close by. There are 3 in the immediate area where you can buy all the food and supplies you need. The rooms are cleaned and the towels and sheets are changed every 2-3 days. You also have a broom and mop so you can manage the sand issue. The windows have some wood shutters that can be closed to reduce noise and light. The room had air conditioning. The owner is very helpfull and friendly.
The beach is small but the sun beds are for free, and the period we were there it was very quiet. We appreciated the lack of clubs and noise. The distance to the beach is 20 meters. We also loved that a lot.

The food: We only had lunch once in the restaurant as we were looking for something other than italian:), but there is a restaurant near the one located in Sonias House specialized in fish and seafood dishes, I highly recommend the gavros (small fried fish), mussels, squids, octopus.
If you have a walk to the port (20 minutes) to see the small ships there, you will have the possibility to choose from a variety of restaurants with different specifics.

The location: the area is breahtakingly beautiful, there are a lot of small golfs where you can swim. The seaside has some rocks but the owners of Sonias House made a small concrete pathway through the water and you can walk on that a few meters to the sandy portion of the sea. The water was warm and calm so it is suited for small children also. You have a large area of shallow water (1.2-1.5 meters).

The conclusion : we will return here probably next year and we definately recommend it to our friends. It is not a hotel so you should not expect services suited for a hotel but you have privacy, a lot of restaurants to choose from, nearby shops, freedom and the possibility to drink your cofee with a direct view to the sea.

Room Tip: Each room has seaview, I recommend to ask for a ground level room, so you have a small lawn too.
