“Really lovely”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

A really lovely little place with plenty to choose from on the menu and dietary requirements catered for. I popped in at a lunchtime and fancied a cake, but nothing gluten free was on offer in the counter - something we are used to at cafes - but the lady went out of her way to whip me up something suitable! Over and above what other cafes do for you. And the kids' milk came in little glass bottles with a straw! Just lovely!

“Lovely Eastern European Niche in Todmorden”
Reviewed May 16, 2014

As newcomers to the area, we called in for a coffee and were really taken by the friendly welcome, lovely atmosphere and Eastern European hospitality and presentation. The flap jack was gorgeous (extra sweet for those needing to replenish their calorie intake!) and the mocha came with an accompanying glass of cold water and peanut butter pretzels.
We will definitely come here again.

Many thanks for taking the time to review Kava. We are really pleased that you enjoyed your visit with us. That particular flapjack is the Halva & Pecan, it is the sweetest one that we offer. There isnt any refined sugar in it, the sweetness comes from honey, which is mixed with Tahini to form the Halva.

Looking forward to seeing you again

“Fantastic place.”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

We recently moved from Tod to Manchester, and places like Kava are the reason we moved here. Kava is small, but it never feels cramped. It's friendly staff are lovely, and the feel is relaxed and cosy. Hot drinks are served on a silver tray with iced water and delicious pretzel snacks filled with peanut butter: its a great touch that makes popping in for a coffee more special.

The food is fresh and tasty: we tried a vegan, creamy mushroom pie, which is delicious, accompanied with a varied salad.

Kava is a great veggie and vegan place that meat eaters will enjoy too, and a great addition to the interesting places to eat that are popping up in Tod. We're looking forward to being regulars.

“What a lovely little place ”
Reviewed April 23, 2014 via mobile

I'm sorry but the one bad review is too stuck up. This little gem is definately worth the visit. I went after reading the bad review. It's not fair that people are allowed to over criticise without any repurcussions. Well done to the chef for runnin this small cafe the way they do. Hats off x oh n being a restauarant owner myself I know how bad customers can be. As the saying goes you can't please em all. Keep it up
