We booked in for the Friday night so that we could attend the pudding club. Firstly our room was lovely, we had kindly been upgraded, so that was a wonderful start. The hotel was nicely decorated, and our room was lovely, with a lovely bath.
As for the pudding club, what an experience!! cannot recommend it enough! 7 desserts/puddings and you vote for your favorite!! delectable!!! Yes your belly hurts by the end of the night, and your grateful that you have a room and don't have to drive! You can just go the evening and not stay over!
This was a very self indulgent treat but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Room Tip: if you can afford it go for one of the themed rooms

We had an amusing weekend here attending the Puddling Club. Our room on the ground floor was the "sticky toffee" room decorated as a bedouin tent. We could have used a bit of heat (it was the end of May) but we didn't bother asking, did we? The rooms are a bit frayed at the edges but the general atmosphere makes up for any little shortcomings. The location is charming and the Pudding Club dinner was something we'll be talking about for many years to come. I found it particularly amusing that for nearly 3 hours the room full of strangers was engaged in conversation about desserts! (Children might not find this particularly amusing, though.) The breakfast buffet and dinner the next night were both excellent. Of course, it helps to be there with a group of good friends.

Room Tip: Seven rooms are themed-rooms based on traditional British "puddings".

We visited here with our 3 daughters for the chocolate experience cookery demonstration and lunch. We decided to make a weekend of it and stay the night too. Definitely a good decision. We were welcomed with a nice chocolate milk shake and gorgeous home made biscuits before our informal cookery demonstration. There was only 9 of us altogether which was a nice number, and the demonstration was fun and informative, with lots of little tasters along the way. Lunch was delicious with plenty of choice at each course.

our rooms were perfect. I had booked 2 superior rooms and the room my 3 daughters had was huge even with 3 beds in it. We were upgraded to the chocolate suite for our Wedding anniversary which was a lovely surprise and greatly appreciated.

In the evening, we decided just to sample the food in the bar which was also of excellent quality.

Breakfast in the morning did not disappoint - home made granola, fresh fruit salad and delicious hot buffet with locally sourced produce. This was constantly topped up and everything very fresh.

All in all, an excellent stay and have already recommended this place to several people. The staff are all very friendly which is really what makes this place extra special. You are made to feel welcome from the minute you step through the door.

Thank you for a lovely weekend. We will be definitely be back.

We have just got back from a lovely weekend here after attending a wedding in near by Dorsington. We stayed in the Cotswold room, it's was spacious comfy and the decor was just so in keeping. The whole hotel is clean, staff are friendly and well placed for local activites. My family members had different rooms my brother had the chocolate themed room the kids were thrilled. My dad had the spotted dick room again well decorated and a recipe on the wall. The breakfast was absolute divine I couldn't stop going up, all the food is sorced locally and nothing is too much trouble. I would definatly be returning for one of the pudding club nights as I have a terrible sweet tooth!! I will be recommending this little gem for a long time. Thank you for your kind hospitality this weekend. Hargreaves family.

Stayed here for a family wedding that was held in Dorsington nearby.
The hotel is very welcoming with friendly helpful staff.
We stayed in room 33 which is the sheep room. It's by far the best room in the hotel as our party nearly had all rooms and we checked them all out.
Breakfast was superb. The sausages were locally sourced and delicious.
My only regret was that I had to leave after only one night.

Booked a standard double room; got a small room with very comfy bed and a small private garden/patio. The facility and grounds are homey, comfortable, lovely. Large car park right next door (free for guests). Very good breakfast using local provisioners and products. Hotel has lounge that has that wood smoke infusion!; also bar and restaurant. Wonderful helpful but not overbearing staff. Apparently it is famous for its "Pudding Club" desert spectaculars. When it came time, I opted for a wonderful cheese plate of local wonderments. But the puddings surely tempted! Location -- the hotel is convenient to several National Trust properties, most notably the wonderful Hidcote. With a sat-nav (GPS), driving is easy and it's impossible to get lost in the beautiful Cotswolds.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a private patio/garden

Thank you for your very nice review. I am really pleased that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated our great team of staff. Our standard rooms are not the largest, if you need plenty of space try one of the Superior or Pudding themed rooms. My only warning with using sat nav to find the hotel is always put Mickleton in as well as our postcode GL55 6SB, it will then bring you straight here. Thank you for recommending us. Kind regards Simon Coombe

We had a very nice stay at this friendly hotel, the staff and service generally was excellent. We stayed the the lowest grade of room which was small but very clean and well decorated. Good food and we really enjoyed the puddings!
