We were staying in a riverside hotel on an overnight stay back from the Dordogne to Britain & foiund Cafe du Commerce through Trip Advisor. We had a drink in the afternoon sun on the small square then returned for a set menu meal in the evening. It had cooled down so we were thankful to get a table inside as later on people who had not booked were being turned away as the place was full - of local people as well as a few travellers. We had a classic menu of carpaccio of beef, magret de canard & mousse au chocolat & some really nice local Orleanais wine. The place seemed like a classic French small town cafe-brasserie & was buzzing so it was a superb end to a nice holiday. The waitress was really cheerful & the staff seemed nice & positive! Dont arrive too late - get there before 9pm!
