Thanks a lot for the staff for the fantastic service. Everybody is very friendly and ready to assist in all the matters.Perfect location to visit all places in Tuscany region-Chianti, San Giminiano, Volterra, Florance, Siena, Tyrrhenian Sea. If you want just to relax you may stay at the hotel and to enjoy a swimming pool, surrounded by natural oasis. The restaurant suggests good food for reasonable prices, sommelier is very professional. It is our first time we stay at this hotel, but we shall turn back here at our next visit to Tuscany. Thanks a lot!!!

This is our second time at Della Rovere. The hotel is on a large expansive property that has a lot of room. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the pool. Very large room with high ceilings and a very large bathroom with a large whirlpool tub. We enjoy staying in Colle di Val d'Elsa because it is so centrally located. 20 minutes to Siena and 40 minutes to Florence. We would do day trips to our favorite spots in Tuscany and be back in the late afternoon to relax by the pool. We enjoyed the restaurant that is across the street and went three times. You the restaurant is good when on Friday and Saturday nights the locals are having birthday parties and other celebrations there. The breakfast were very good and the hotel had wi-fi in the lobby that worked out great.

What a lovely place. Full of trepidation having read the reviews, but loved it. An oasis. Good pool. 10 mins from town - for us not far enough. Helpful staff - Dinner service a bit slow as per another review....though one meal not helped by the untrained waitress, who turned out to be the cleaner! At least they were trying to keep the staff numbers up. Great great room - will be back in a shot..

My sister had stayed at this hotel and recommended it. It is a beautiful property. We were traveling with our two children so we stayed in a junior suite. The only negative of this place was the price. We were in Italy 2 weeks and stayed in a number of really beautiful hotels and this one was the most expensive. They also made us prepay our entire stay, over 6 months in advance which we found unusual. No other hotel in Italy made us do that. That aside, this was a beautiful hotel. It has a lot of character. You could just picture the monks headed down to vespers walking in the halls. The staff was extremely nice and attentive. There grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was included. We ate in the restaurant 2 nights out in the courtyard and we thought the food was excellent. The wait staff spoke no English which was really only an issue when we tried to explain that our daughter had a nut allergy but the waitress went to find someone who understood what we were saying and we appreciated that. This hotel is a splurge but we really enjoyed it. It is a good base to visit the Chianti region, Siena and San Gimigigiano. Pisa is about an hour and a half day trip.

We wanted a place to chill out after visiting 2 busy cities and we found it here. Only 45 minutes by car from Florence and near towns we wanted to visit, including Volterra, San Gimignano and Siena. This hotel was just what we were looking for. The food was excellent, the pool a lovely place to relax and the rooms simple and comfortable. All the staff were more than helpful and always friendly, with great recommendations. Nice to have Wifi that worked well too.

Restaurant of this Hotel is not run by the Hotel, and is subcontracted out.
The service was painfully slow 2-3 hours for 3 courses for 3 people.......Quite ordinary food for such a nice hotel in lovely garden setting. Breakfast not a lot better.

The hotel had a good location and provided good service. The restaurant was excellent and the service very pleasant. Unfortunately, the hotel was surrounded by noisy superstradas (direction Siena and Florence) and a relaxing break at the swimmingpool impossible. One evening there was a Rock concert and it was impossible to sleep! If there would not be the street noise we would rate the hotel excellent! On our reservation we were promised free fruits and mineral water to the room. We had to request it especially and had discussion about it with the person at the reception! Surprisingly for a 4* first class hotel!

Room Tip: The Luxury rooms are facing the noisy superstrada! Sleeping with open windows impossible!
