My family and I have been coming to Italy since I was 14 and one of the reason for us coming back all these years is for the fantastic and amazing food! Italy's cuisine is as varied as its regions. This time we visited a realy particolar place- a new restaurant located in ex San Lorenzo Hospital Chapel...that could be described as "among the very best in the Tuscany" and its atmosphere as "formally elegant" with some of the best Lasagnia in the region! (I personally recommend to try it.Even if you don`t like pasta,i guarantee you won't be disappointed). Their Carpaccio (thin sliced raw beef served with olive oil, capers ... and Parmegiano cheese is to die for). The wine list is well thought out, includes a nice range of choices that complement the food, and is not overly pricey. And the service is equally amazing, completely professional and yet warmly welcoming. The price- not cheap, but considering the food, the wines, the service, and the setting, well worth it. Recommended.
