Three of us dined and shared most of our courses. The staff were very accommodating to our requests and very helpful with English translations of the menu.
Food was really good especially the pici and the beef steak was excellent - the one with mash potato and truffle!
Had character but layout affected potential for layout. One of our party was knocked repeatedly by staff passing to other tables.
We went up to the old town in the lift afterwards, short walk took us there and gave fantastic views enhanced by a full moon! Great way to finish the evening.
We would recommend it for excellent food, friendly service and good value for money.

The best restaurant we've eaten at in Italy! We will be going back again tomorrow. The service was exceptional. Sergio was our waiter and he was as funny as the as the food is good. The building is 1100 year old mill converted into the restaurant. Really elegant. Everything is fresh and house made that day. Don't pass this place up.

Everything is special about this restaurant, the welcome, the decor and especially the cooking. The restaurant is a converted water mill and it is charming. The welcome is wonderful and the ambiance is relaxed. The cooking is just wonderful, typical Tuscan dishes beautifully cooked. Everything is home made from the pasta to the bread. The meat dishes are wonderful.
The dining on the roof terrace is lovely in the Summer, we can't wait to go back.

Set in an old water mill, this is an excellent Tuscan restaurant! My wife and I are in Italy for vacation, Rome and Tuscany, and could not have had a better meal! We took the advice of our hotel owner and came to this rustic restaurant and had the prix fix consisting of several shellfish dishes as well as an amuse bouche. Each course was presented by our waiter, who spoke English clearly, with explanations each time. Our wine was a local white from San Gimignano, Vernacchia, also excellent. Parking, however, is crazy, but that is true in most of Italy.
