Great hotell in the old centre of the small charming town. Wonderful garden. Very romantic rooms. Helpful and serviceminded staff. Great restaurant! Perfect for a romantic weekend. Montepulciano and Pienza could easily be reached by car if you would like to go for a trip over the day.

We stayed here with our two children(13 & 12) for two nights. The hotel is very beuatiful, there is a spa and garden to the back of the hotel that was perfect for sitting out in the afternoon. Our room was a two level suite that worked perfectly for us. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well decorated. The staff took care of all of our needs, and really went above and beyond in helping us coordinate a cooking class for us and the kids. The breakfast room is decorated beautifully, and the breakfast was one of the best we had during our entire journey. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is lovely and a great place to relax and take part in San Quirico life. The staff is great and very friendly. The restaurant is very good and value for money. The town is rather small, so a car is a neccessity to go around Tuscany. The hotel garden is a great place to relax including whirlpool. A swmming pool is however missing. The owner is in a procedure with the municipality to get permission, however this will not be easy as the hotel is part of the historical centre.

For the 3rd time now we have spent a couple of days in the Palazzo del Capitano. Since 2003 when we booked the hotel for our wedding, Roberto and team have perfected the service and rooms. The afternoon tea, the nighttime tea & coffee, the large # of Spa treatments have completed the hotel. In the relatively quiet southern part of Tuscany, this is a must stay location.
Roberto's closeby restaurant has à great kitchen and winelist, and is not overly expensive.

The property and the town is so nice we extended our stay right away to another night. It has its own private garden. Terrific full body massage in the spa. we were tired from driving and needed one. They accommodated us without appointment late in the evening by working past their hours. You must experience it. The price of the room for the season (mid-May) were very reasonable. Patricia at the front desk is superbly helpful and so is the Coco (the jack of all trades, he does it all- from your luggage to taking care of the garden, a handy man).
Great experience. We will go there again. was recommended by another hotel in North of Italy. The street address didn't show on the GPS and we ended up driving to the hotel while the whole town staring at us...soon we realized that we were not allowed to drive on that street. Anyways the staff was great in helping us settle down and very accommodative as we didn't have advance reservations.

I stayed in Palazzo del Capitano in April. Beautiful old palace inside the hamlet, charming rooms spacious and clean, great amenities (for sale in the hotel shop -I bought an olive oil body lotion very good choice) excellent breakfast with large selection of cheese, ham, several kind of breads, cereals, yogurt, fresh cakes and pastries, good coffee.
If you are looking for a romantic gate away this is the place.

The hotel is located just inside the wall of San Quirico d’Orcia, we managed to drive to the main entrance, but parking is below and would be much easier to just walk up the stairs to the hotel. Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. To say a stay here is relaxing is an understatement – everything from the spacious rooms, the lovely gardens, the great breakfast, tea and snacks served in the afternoon makes you feel very welcome and at ease. The food in this town was some of the best we sampled in Tuscany. All in all a truly wonderful hotel. This is also a great central point to explore other Tuscan towns and this hotel would be very hard to beat. This is probably our favorite place we stayed during our two week vacation in Italy.
