Beautiful rural Tuscany setting just outside Vagliagli. Our room was spacious and opulent. Staff was great including the GM who consistently took interest in our enjoyment. Restaurant was outstanding, had wild boar two nights is a row.

Latisha and Merko stood out and Sarah in the wine shop. Dievole has several very capable wines.

Farm and nature path are very welcome perks. Breakfast is good but a little limited.

Would highly recommend as a romantic get away for 3 or 4 nights, if relaxation is appreciated. Day trips to Siena are easy as long as you can put up with the lunatic Italian drivers to whom getting from A to B at the speed of sound is nb.

La Taverna di Vagliagli is a short 15 min walk from Dievole, and is a great Michelin accredited restaurant to visit. Great food, ambience and wine selection; all reasonably priced. Quite an unexpected gem in such a small, quaint village.

Room Tip: Villa 125 was fantastico

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a cycling trip. The room was outstanding with a wonderful bath, shower and toiletries and bath robes.our room was in a building separate from the restaurant but that was no problem. the pool was very cold but what a wonderful view of the area. Breakfast was delicious. Great choice and quality. Staff were very friendly. Dinner service was a little haphazard at times. A bit of miscommunication between staff and there didn't seem to be a maitre d which was maybe why staff seemed a little disorganised at times, but it wasn't a major problem. Wine tastings can be organised and you can buy wines and have them shipped from the shop on site. All in all a great place to stay. If you're in this area it is definitely worth a visit.

We stayed 4 nights at Villa Dievole, in the Villa. The staff was very kind and accommodating from the start- I thought I had strep throat, and they immediately called every pharmacy in the area to see which was open and if they could help (tangent: everything about the existence of farmacias is great, and should be replicated in the USA.)

The room was incredible- very large, with high ceilings revealing exposed rafter beams. A huge soaking tub looked like a piece of art, and the Hermès bath products were a wonderful touch.

The property itself was breathtaking- 600+ acres of land, with 132 devoted to its vineyard. The rest was untouched evergreen forest, save for a long nature trail that we took a walk in on our third day. That said, the flies REALLY liked the Hermès products, so we didn't last long in the forest. I would highly recommend a hat and bug spray if you're going to take advantage.

The restaurant was great, with fantastic service- I will say that some dishes resonated better than others. Our favorites included the beef tartare, Spaghetti made with Chianti Classico, pecorino pasta, and the tiramisu (to die for.) We did not love the chianina (too salty) and as American as this sounds, a simple chicken dish would have been appreciated after some very rich meals.

Breakfast every morning was a feast, wonderful and diverse, with some of the best yogurt we have had in our lives! And again, the staff was so kind and helpful, including their new manager, who spent time getting to know every guest, without coming across too forward or intrusive.

There are two pools on property, with great views of the property. We preferred the upper pool, as it afforded a bit more privacy and quiet.

Wine tasting and the production tour was a wonderful amenity included in the hotel rate. Even though you're in Chianti, try their whites!! We found them to be crisp and refreshing, especially during a hot Tuscan summer. The tour itself was very informative (more on that below.)

The location is fantastic- 25 minutes to Siena, 15 minutes to Radda (a beautiful, quaint destination) yet set back from the hustle and bustle of Italian tourist life.

There were a couple weird things worth noting- nothing that took away from our overall enjoyment, but just left our heads scratching:

1) We requested and reserved mountain bikes to do the nature trail. However, when we arrived on the set time, we were told that one of the bikes was broken- after 20 minutes, the staff informed us that they would have to send the bike in for repairs and reschedule until the next day. This ended up being OK- the elevation profile was more intense than we expected and for this reason we scrapped the biking. However, we would expect that the bikes be serviced before we arrive for reservations.

2) We signed up for a wine tour at a set time, but when we arrived for it, the staff informed us that there was a wedding party and we would not be able to take the tour. A minor scheduling snafu, but just a bit frustrating. We took the tour the next day and enjoyed.

This goes down as one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at, and will certainly be recommending to friends and family in the years to come.

Room Tip: 3rd floor corner room overlooks the vineyard and is stunning.

Stayed 2 nights late August 2017 in the "villa". Impeccable service. Food is great. I had a request for having access to a racing bicycle and when I arrived is was there waiting for me. Biking in Tuscany is something I can warmly recommend. Andrea and his staff are taking amazing care of all the guests. Positive attitude and nothing is an issue for them. Genuinely nice, competent professionals. The hotel is co-mingled with the winery so lots of interesting things going on. There is a tasting room in the reception and the wines are very good.

Just returned from a week's trip to
Italy with our 4 nights at Dievole being the highlight of our stay. The property is set amongst the vineyards and has rooms and apartments. We stayed with our two boys in the family apartment which was very spacious and spread over 2 levels. The views from our windows were breathtaking!! The hotel has two pools and the breakfast was great too. The Dievole vineyards produce excellent wines and we got to taste the wines and also took a wine tour while there. Sadly we did not eat at their restaurant as we spend our days out exploring Tuscany and coming back only after dinner. The hotel is located a short drive away from Tuscany's amazing towns and villages so easy to drive around. The staff are all lovely and clearly love what they do as it shows in their friendly and attentive service. We all loved it there and hope to go back soon! Thank you Dievole for making our stay so wonderful!
