“Amazing place and hosts”
Reviewed August 5, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed at this its for 2 weeks after our booking for another gite in the area was cancelled as the owners sold up. Mairi, Ren and Rhona were excellent hosts who made our stay very hassle free. They were always happy to give advice on places to go from the nearest attractions to the best local pizza! The gite was spotless and very nicely decorated. Ren and Mairi have thought of everything and the site is very well equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is a huge garden for children to play in and my son especially enjoyed the pool table, the table tennis and the pool which kept him occupied for most of the time. Easily accessible from Limoges or Angouleme but in a very tranquil spot just outside of a picturesque village I would thoroughly recommend this gite to anyone thinking of staying in the area. Have already booked for next year!

“A little piece of tranquility”
Reviewed October 8, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

This will have been our 9th visit, to say we love it, would be an understatement.
Mairi, Ren and Rhona are excellent hosts and are there to help at the drop of a hat or will leave you in peace, if you wish.
Both of the Gites have been built to a high standard as are the grounds around them. There is a lovely pool, never been in it ourselves but it is lovely.
There is a local resturant at the top of the hill which offers great value for money, three course meals, with all local produce for €15 you need to not have lunch if you go for dinner as the portions are huge, other than that there are no other facilities, you do need a car to get to the shops, although there is a van selling bread that comes round twice a week and a grocery van once a week.
The local market in Pieguet on Wednesday is brilliant and is a must! All local vegetables and fruit, along with local meats and fish, all to a very high standard. We have had several lovely meals from there over the years. Don't forget to stop for a coffe, either at the PMU or Le Bistrot, or the Ice cream Parlour, all very nice.
No doubt this will not be our last visit as it is great to get away and enjoy the tranquility of the area, thank you Mairi, Ren and Rhona x

“A truly magnificent hidden gem”
Reviewed August 13, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

A fantastic relaxing holiday, looks even better than the photos , owners- lovely family . Fantastic scenery great pool, lots to do for kids . Amazing wildlife , great place to re-charge your batteries, wished we had booked for longer . Lots of land around the gite and very safe and secure. Brantome about 30 mins away well worth a visit market Friday there . We went twice and went on a trip down the river or you can canoe on it , lots of places to eat there or you can take a picnic down by the river and lots of shops for pressies. Market on Wednesday at Piegut and Farmers Market on a Tuesday night also. First visit to France but won't be the last !

“The perfect holiday for everyones needs!”
Reviewed May 26, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Ren and Mairi left England shores several years ago to start life in the beautiful Dordogne region of South West France and what a place the chose! They have two gites for rent at their property in the hamlet of Rebeyrat next to the village of St Bethelemey de Brussiere. The luxurious gites form part of their restored farm buildings and sit in a wonderfully peaceful area of the National Parklands
Relaxation for young and old alike the gites offer a private good sized outdoor swimming pool, barbecue area, family games, sunbathing terraces, friendly goats and chickens (mmm those fresh eggs) and much more. Owners Ren and Mairi are the very best of hosts and nothing is a trouble to them.
Locally there is an excellent restaurant with a bar just a short walk up the lanes to the village and further afield are numerous activities with sightseeing, lakes, inland beaches, water sports, canoeing, horse riding, karting and much more.
This is on of the unspoiled regions of France with empty roads and lots of space to relax or be energetic.....the choice is yours. The larger towns of Limoges, Angouleme and Periguex are all under an hours drive away if one fancies some 21st century shopping, other wise relax, enjoy the country the food the wine and the great hospitality.
Bonne chance mes amis!
