“Spectacular view, food and service!!”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Stayed here for a family vacation. Nice and new hotel with large, clean and comfortable rooms. The most comfortable bed we slept in our entire Greece trip.

The service was great with plenty of suggestions from the staff on where to go visit.

The pool is amazing with a panoramic view of Kalamata - one of the best in Kalamata.

The food was fantastic with fresh produce.

If you are after a luxury stay, this is definitely a pick.

We stayed there 10 days and can imagine to stay longer. Clean and new hotel, smíing staff, wonderful view of
Kalamata city and bay, good starting point for exploring south of Peloponesse. And not forget Kalamata olive oil!
One remark: car necessary!

We visited the restaurant of the hotel by the roof-pool. We enjoyed a magnificent view over the town of Kalamata and the Messinian Bay. The menu had dishes of international cuisine and some Greek specialties. Foods are prepared after the order. The waiters were very helpful and polite. It worth your visit to escape from the town.

A fantastic new hotel

A short trip this time, just for a day away from the hustle and bustle of Athens to visit some relatives.
We chose this hotel for our overnight stay mainly due to the fact that it is one of the newest hotels around Kalamata, enjoying a magnificent view over the Messinian Bay and an ideal location near the area’s best beaches, cafés, bars and restaurants, while preserving at the same time a fair distance from Kalamata’s noisy centre and waterfront.
We arrived late at the hotel, as we had spent the entire day at the beach, and as we realized there was a wedding party taking place at the hotel at that time. Even though the parking lot was crowded with all the wedding guests’ cars, we were lucky enough to find a place available very close to the main entrance. It required a small effort, especially when being tired after a day full of water activities, to walk up the slope to the hotel’s entrance, but when we reached the reception desk, the receptionist greeted us warmly and helped us complete all the needed paperwork quickly. Our rooms were ready of course, and luckily there were no other guests waiting to check in so we didn’t even have to wait at all.
We went straight to our rooms, and as I opened the door I realized that it was probably one of the biggest and nicest rooms I have ever stayed at. Wooden floor, wooden ceiling, great lighting, and an enormous bathroom. The bed was very big too, equipped with an excellent mattress, and a huge set of pillows. The air-conditioning system was working perfectly, and it didn’t take long before the room was cool enough for my standards. As I realised, the air-conditioning system was designed in such a way that it wouldn’t waste energy cooling the room when no one is there. There was a sensor that would turn the air-conditioning system off when sliding the window door open. A very thoughtful concept, that I hadn’t seen implemented at any other hotel I’d stayed at. When I opened the curtains I encountered a fantastic evening view over the bay. The sliding window doors where almost as wide as the room itself, guiding you out to a balcony, almost as big as the room too. At the balcony you could relax at a small couch, enjoying a cup of coffee, or a light dinner, or choose to work or dine more formally at the small dining table available. Truly one can argue about the room’s size, but that of the balcony is definitely unsurpassed.
The bathroom was immensely big, and fully equipped with all the amenities one would need. Everything, from a great olive oil based hand soap, to a shaving kit was available. I truly enjoyed my shower, but it would be useful to install a glass cabin around the tub, in order to avoid having to wipe all the water from the bathroom floor thereafter. The small window at the bathroom ensured that no steam is trapped inside, turning it into a sauna, while at the same time preserving maximum privacy to those using it.
The morning was hot, but having breakfast by the pool was a great choice that we didn’t regret. We could choose from a great variety of both warm and cold dishes, having a mixed american-continental breakfast. From local recipe jam and fresh fruit to croissants and crepes, one could taste both the local flavour of traditional greek breakfasts and an international option equal to four star hotel standards.
The check out procedure was equally fast and professional to the check in one, and we were warmly thanked and wished a pleasant and safe trip back home.
Overall I would say that our choice couldn’t be any better. The staff was excellent, discreet, professional and attending. The rooms were great, and even though a huge wedding party was going on during the night a couple of floors below, and further atop the hill one can find some of the area’s best nightclubs that attract waves of loud Greeks and tourists, we could hear absolutely nothing. The night went on silently and tranquilly, and the morning wake up was even better.
The only thing I could say is that I hope we could have stayed there longer and not just for one night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the hotel's south side. It has only one adjacent room and a balcony allowing f...

As others have said, this small hill-side hotel is really a wedding-event reception hall with rooms. It is still undergoing its final touches to completion. It provides a fabulous view of the City of Kalamata, the Messinian Bay and the mountains. The pool is immaculate. The breakfast is typical Greek fare, but nicely presented and enjoyed by the pool. The staff were wonderful. Every shift did everything they could to please us immediately. The owner was engaging and a wonderful host. Phone service and AC glitches were addressed immediately. True, the shower (ours was a glass enclosure) requires some two handed work, but it was all new. The price was great! We used it as a base to explore the Mani seaside and to trek to the villages of our families in the hills beyond Messini. We would definitely recommend it for a base. We wish we could have tried the dining,as the started as a restuarant (stil extant just below the hotel).

The place is a gem. You can practically see the entire city and the sun setting. The room is huge with comfortable bed, spacey bathroom and a wonderful balcony to relax and stare at the view. The breakfast had everything you could imagine. City center is only a 10' drive and it is totally worth it when you escape from the buzz of the town.

The view of the Kalamata harbor is superb, but after that this "B&B" was really a wedding reception facility with a few rooms above the reception hall and didn't do much for us. The bathroom shower was a handheld affair without a curtain, so one always had to use care not to soak the whole bathroom. Beds were rather hard, and furniture in the room was spartan (and limited--we ended up bringing in the patio furniture just to have a place for two to sit). The staff was friendly and helpful, although English was limited. The drive up to the actual hotel is at a rather perilous slope with blind switchbacks and one lane, so be prepared for some careful driving just to get into the hotel, and two flights of stairs to get into the lobby (no ramp). Finally, if you stay over a weekend, Greek wedding receptions go WAY into the night, and although the soundproofing is actually reasonable, the music was still noticeable and conversations from adjacent rooms were easily heard.
