The small temple is hidden in an area of Puthia that many people just don't get to see. Make sure you have a guide and insist that he take you here. The inside is not much to see. It's the exterior brick work and extant terracotta carvings that are exquisite. A real gem.

Well maintained - sort of - in best Banladesh style, but great to visit. Was good to see the craftsmen preparing new replacement bricks made with great skill

I just love Rajshahi for it's ancient beauty and structure. Last time when I visited to Rajshahi again I had a time to visit Puthia Complex. Bara Ahnik Mandir is a part of Puthia Complex. It's a religious place. There is no chance to enter the Mandir, you just look outside of it and I believe you love it. Never visit just this Mandir, try to catch up other parts also.
