“Avoid Mid June - mid July”
Reviewed July 12, 2011

The hotel was good,However the first week was spoilt because the hotel allowed groups of 16 year old unsupervised local teenagers to book rooms, they were noisy and up and about shouting even during the night, the manager spoke to them and they took no notice and just carried on.No action was taken to control this. The second week they were replaced by 18 year old youths who were having a last fling before joining the army to do national service. One again they caused havoc and were totally disrespectful to other guests. The manager did not control this group either and most nights our sleep was disturbed. The resort was crowded with gangs of local young people and mostly they were just loud but some gang fights took place.

Room Tip: The swimming pool was good but has 2 sets of steps as the only access. There was no access for disabl...

My wife' myself and our 2 youngest children stayed at the Artemis for 2 weeks on A.I. board basis. the hotel was basic but clean & tidy' the food was edible and the kitchen staff were happy to oblige if we asked them for something in particular (ie fried bread) All the staff were friendly. we would visit again.

I stayed at this hotel for 7 days, the weather was great as was the pool facilities for adults and children. The decor to the hotel is a little dated but well cleaned daily, there was only one day where my room was not cleaned although the room had everything I required from a fridge to an oven and hob, everything worked as normal and was generally pleased with the room even though I was adjacent to the lift and could hear late night revellers coming home or night time guests checking in.

The food and service received at meal times was very good and a variety of choice made meal times enjoyable. One regular moan from other guests was the lack of snacks etc during the day although I never experianced this due to providing my own during the day.

The entertainment during the evenings was sometimes poor compaired to past experiances at other hotels but there were also good nights to be had as well.

In general the hotel, staff and the food provided lived up to expectations and I read between the lines on most of the reviews. The hotel is situated close to the local beach and there are plenty of things to see and do to keep everyone happy.I really enjoyed my stay and met some pleasant and interesting people.

Room Tip: The entertainment is loud pool side of the hotel

Stayed for a week all inclusive in May 2011. Advertised as 4*, however would rate this hotel 2-3*. Staff are great, pool is ok, bar area fne. Rooms basic, food an English man's dream - full English each morning, but not a sign of anything remotely Cypriot or Greek. Drinks are fine although plastic glasses because the bar is outside - no problem with that really. Service is very slow during meal times as bar staff have to service the restaurant as well as the bar.
Entertainment is a joke - 1 sacked for poor attitude to guests and his replacement hardly spoke anything other than his native Italian. The Magician and the Dancers were ok but things might hot up during high season.

We arrived at the Artemis at 5pm and were shown to our room upon arrival (there was 3 adults 1 child and 1 infant in our party)the room was very spacious and clean. even though we were all inclusive the room still had everything in (kettle, pans, plates etc) which was great!
The restaurant is open between 7.30-10.00am, 12.30-2.30pm and 7.00-9.30pm and between these hours the snack bar is open. the food was all great, a wide choice so something for everyone.
The staff were lovely and friendly, very chatty and welcoming! the entertainment girls, Kelly & Rachael were great, kept kids entertained throughout the day and organised shows, quizzes and other entertainment at night. we wanted to do a boat trip but was going to cost £30 with Thomas cook, go through the entertainment girls, its the same & cheaper. They also done aqua aerobics, water polo and other activities around the pool everyday free of charge.
The pool is big and clean, the hotel & grounds are well looked after and our maid came in every day except Sunday.
There is also a laundrette 2euro for washer & 1euro for dryer, you can get soap powder from the reception.
There is a supermarket across the road it is very expensive, walk about 3 mins down the road and you will get the same stuff for half the price!
Plenty of sun loungers to go around and there is a big seating area between the pool & the bar.
You can catch the bus to Fig Tree Bay from outside the hotel and it costs 1euro or you can walk there in about 15 mins.
This is a fantastic hotel to stay at, not just because its so well looked after but because the staff were so nice. We will definitely be returning with the children next year!!!

Lovely Hotel but in desperate need of revamp. Very basic rooms but all staff very friendly. Hotel was very quiet with only 1/3 of rooms let & entertainment left a lot to be desired, not however for the lack of effort of the Ents team with Kelly & Rachel who tried their best with limited resource.
I believe AquaSol who own the hotel are looking to sell to another hotel provider so this may be better in the future. However, we did have a lovely time with the pool area being well looked after & the location/weather was excellent. Most food was OK & the drinks were very strong so be warned.....

We stayed at the Artemis Sept/Oct 2010. My husband and I and my dughter, her husband and 2 year old grandaughter. The hotel was in a good position a 15min walk to the main strip, the rooms were cleaned daily, apart from Sunday. We found all the staff to be really freindly and helpfull, with the exception of one of the receptionists Eleni. Everything was too much trouble for this girl, interupting her facebook time, nearly all the guests that were there at the same time as us had something to say about how rude and arrogant she was. We hired a car for 2 days and lost a full morning because she could'nt be bothered to look and see if the keys had arrived, when I finally demanded she get up and have a look, she found them in our pigeonhole, and then started lying about them just arriving even though they had been there for nearly 5 hours. That apart we had no complaints, the entertainment girls, Kelly and Rachel worked really hard, especially Kelly, who always went the extra mile with the children, my grandaughter adored her, although she is normally quite shy with strangers, we have been home a week and she is still asking after her. I would recommend this hotel but be aware of the dreaded Eleni, as a first point of contact she could really put you off before you have started to unpack. Another thing I would recommend, we went s/c is Steens restaurant just along the road, the food and the welcome is absolutely fantastic. The first week we tried lots of places, walking past Steens, someone recommended it to us and we never ate anywhere else. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, everything freshly cooked and delicious, the icing on the cake was they asked us as soon as we arrived what my grandaughter wanted and cooked hers immediately so she did'nt get tired waiting, thoroughly recommended.
