Have just got back from a week at the LIvas and hope to go back. Many of the guests return there year after year and easy to see why. Ideally situated for all facilities of the resort. The Livas is a family run Hotel. We were made to feel very welcome. In particular, Andreas and his family who run the bar and restuarant were all lovely and could not have done more for us. Andreas made a special effort to stock a particular beer which my husband had requested and his wife stayed late to cook for us after we had walked out of nearby restuarant (Ifalos) after waiting over an hour for food which we thought was an unacceptable delay. The meals at the Livas are as good as any elswhere in the resort. In particular the breakfasts were very good and all cooked to order. Nice spacious pool area with plenty of sunbeds.

Room Tip: Balconies of most rooms with a pool view don't get any sunshine during the day. Corner rooms and...

Lovely welcoming reception staff - felt like our Cypriot mum.

The only issue i have with the hotel is our light bulbs in our room - very bad neon light!!!

Was only there a night but did everything we wanted it to - few nice restaurants up the road. A little far from the main beach area.

Kitchenette functional - decor dated!

It still needs to be updated, but this place is a gem because of ALL the staff who are here every year to meet old and new friends ,can see why so many people keep going back. Andreas is still the main man at the bar /restaurant nearly every hour it is open,We were in room 101 which is not the best room for sleeping as it is above the shop and you can hear the fridge motors ,also the pub across the road has people trying to sing most nights . 2 minute walk to the sea, 25 minute walk to fig tree bay. The food here is cooked fresh and is very good ,KEO is the beer ,It is a place that gets to you ,tranquill, peaceful , a little bit of england and makes you want to Return

Room Tip: ask for top floor room 101 can be noisey

Just back from the Livas.
We stayed in room 308 from the 21st to the 28th of September.

The place has a welcoming, friendly old fashioned charm. Lovely spacious 1 bed apartment which was clean and had all we needed.

It is not high tech or modern design but we felt relaxed from the moment we arrived to the sad moment we left.

The location is perfect, we had a sea view from our room which was lovely and it really is only a few minutes walk down the path at the back of the pool to the pretty Pernera beach. From the front of the hotel it's really near to the bars and restaurants but still quiet at night.

The pool is just a traditional rectangle but is very nice to swim in.

The lobby and bar area are really good, lovely atmosphere to sit and have a drink or some food - the food we had was great, home cooked food - lovely

There is a little supermarket attached to the Livas which is really convenient.
It was our first time staying at The Livas but we would be very happy to stay there again. Lovely friendly staff and just such a relaxed and welcoming feel to the place.
However, if you need to have sleek modern design with all the latest a gadgets then maybe it's not for you but I think there will be enough people who will keep going back to Livas who appreciate it for what it is

well what can I say! great staff great food an defo great beer lol. but all in all my second trip was the best one so far. made good friends with old and new and the regulars we all laughed and got merry on many nights. we was all like one big happy family. this time round we went on the red bus to Famagusta and it's a shame the damage the turks have done to that city but fingers crossed they might be opening the border of Famagusta which means we can go further in to the city. andreas the barman is still the man of the moment he works solid from am to am when the hotel shuts for winter he needs a good holiday and someone to wait of him hand and foot he needs the rest. I've now booked my 3rd trip and cannot wait till sept 14 'COME ON'

Where do I start ? Lets work backwards a little for a change. On nearly the last day we had been talking to Andreas who runs the bar/restaurant about some dolmades (stuffed vine leaves) we had eaten while on a drive out to another village. So he actually brought some from home for us to try and they were absolutely lovely. It appears they might be added to the hotel menu now, which is great. How many hotels would do something like that ? This is why people love this place, because of the personal service from fantastic staff.
We have been to the hotel numerous times and will keep doing so, because they have it right ! They look after you like they might a family member. You are the one that is important to them, not some schedule or set out procedure. They even offered to open the shop back up to get a large bottle of water passed midnight !
The hotel has the main essentials for a holiday in the sun (pool, bar, restaurant/snack, clean rooms and its own shop) and some of the best staff you will find in any industry !
I should say that the hotel doesn't have a gym, cinema or anything fancy, its just a basic hotel that is kept clean and run well. If you want 5 star amenities you have to pay those prices.

Room Tip: higher floors better views

This is our fifth time at the Livas and yes we would stay again. The location of this Hotel is perfect, as there are many great facilities close by – and we do mean close and within walking distance. These include a great beach, good eating places and there is also a supermarket which is based within the Hotel.

All the staff are very friendly and very obliging – nothing is too much trouble. Every here speaks very good English and they do appreciate it if you try to speak a little Greek back to them.

The rooms are cleaned 5 days out of 7 every week and one of the non cleaning days will be a Sunday, for obvious reasons. Bed linen and towels are changed twice a week. The rooms are cleaned to a good standard and if you need extra towels and bedding, you can get them for a small fee.

Other facilities are a restaurant with a bar, good sized swimming pool with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas.

We have seen a number of poor reviews for this Hotel but I think that people are too fussy and expect too much. We got a very good deal from a web-based tour operator and got very good value for money.

You do have to pay for the air conditioning but then you have to pay for this in every Hotel of this class in Cyprus.

Room Tip: We would recommend that when you book ask for a top floor " pool view "
