“Alan Morrison- Overall good”
Reviewed June 19, 2014

Overall good, the biggest problem is the Station Bar which is very loud until 2am most nights which is not good when with children so very tired most days. Enjoyed the entertainments team of Memo, Rene, Miri and Anna who worked very long and hard at trying to get people involved in the activities which were on most of the day and evening. Food was good and plentiful all day long.

Room Tip: Rooms away from facing Station Bar are the best

We have just returned from Cyprus and stayed at the anastasia apartments for a week with my twin daughters 11, and my mother.the rooms were clean and spacious with a balcony looking over the waterpark which was closed !!!:( the weather was great and the pool was lovely .food was very disappointing as very small selection of choice mainly pork ,chicken and a rather bland type of fish (un-named) at breakfast no fresh fruit just tinned fruit and bananas bacon didn't even look like bacon ! Waterpark looked great but teased us by putting water through the slides .I would return in future but not sure if I could do long flight as on way home child sick and plane very stuffy .if I was to return I'd stay in apartments and go self catering due to disappointing food !sometimes at dinner when you order a drink it wouldn't come till end or not at all so order drinks at bar

Room Tip: Stay in apartments hotel rooms are far too small

Room, hotel, food, staff, hotel location were all perfect for my family. However room location...above an industrial laundrette which served most of the hotel chain in this part of the island with its desel engine trucks coming and going along with a karaoke bar and busy local shop led to being kept awake at night and being woke early in the morning.

I was put in these apartments now under the maegment of the anastasia beach hotel. The rooms are dirty and not up to standard; these are not a 4 star apartments. It is un- safe E.g drain covers up, and very dirty. The basment is empty (where toilets are) part of when it was owned by Ausonia hotel apartments. It is not cleaned very well at all! Bar never has drinks and it is outside a bar (station bar) which is very noisy at night so makes it hard to sleep. Entertainment and Restaurant in the main hotel. The Main hotel Is briliant, food lovely, clean, great entertainment ect (i am going to write another review on the anastasia sepratly) But these apartments are very poor. If you go to the anastasia make sure your not in the apartments, get in the hotel!

Please note that the Anastasia Apartments (ex Ausonia Apartments) are just apartments and not a 4 star hotel! The Anastasia Apts (ex Ausonia Apts) was and still is managed by Tsokkos Hotels the company that manages also the 4star Anastasia Hotel. Guests booking the Anastasia Apts are paying for Apartments but have their food, facilities etc at the 4star Anastasia Hotel. Thank you for your comments, I would like to assure you that we take these seriously in order to further improve our facilities and services.

A couple of nice words To Managements and Staff of Anastasia Beach Hotel
and Ausonia Apartments.
A few weeks have passed since we stayed at the Anastasia Beach Apts. We were very
satisfied with the service at Ausonia and Anastasia, we do like the
food, maids & maitenance service, entertainments group, all the
receptionists especially Kate and Monika. Both of them were very
helpful, polite and always found time to sort our problems with a smile
on their faces.
We got a room with a sea view as we requested, not on the arrival but as
soon as it was free. The apartment was okay, middle standard, but we
can't complain although we would suggest to make it a little bit modern.
The rest of the staff were also friendly although some of them didn't
speak enough English. We loved the little cats which were at the hotel and we do miss them. A lot of other people too liked the cats.
We would definitely come back to Cyprus again, if not to Tsokkos
Hotels, but to a different one, but for sure we will come back to Cyprus!!!
Thanks to everyone: All the Managers and Staff.

We booked a late holiday in Cyprus and stayed at the Ausonia Apartments. The rooms are, as people have said, basic but they are clean & tidy. We had a 1 bed apartment that had twin beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed with pull out in the lounge area. We did end up with a room facing the Station Pub but it only kept us awake for a little while on 2 of the 14 nights. The reception area is very nice with comfortable seating and there is a pool table undercover outside. The pool is small but this means it's quiet compared to the larger pool at the Anastasia, in fact, a number of guests from the Anastatsia prefered to use the Ausonia pool. Down side of the self catering apartments: air con was payable locally and cost us approx £60 for the 2 weeks. you also have to pay for the safe at 11 euros per week!! The accommodation provided basic self catering equipment i.e. microwave, kettle, 2 electric rings, fridge, cooking utensils and crockery. However, as we discovered on returning from the supermarket with loads of salad and fruit, there is no sharp knife. have you tried cutting a melon with a table knife??!! On enquring they arranged for us to borrow a knife from the Anastasia kitchens! I think they expect people to eat out more but with prices as high as they are it would have cost us a fortune with 2 hungry kids. There is an option to upgrade to all incl (eating at the Anastasia) to do this at the resort was approx 30 euro / adult / day (less for children) so it would be worth weighing up the self catering price against the all incl before booking and if cheaper book s/c and upgrade when you get there. The air con by the way is in the living room and the bedroom so we all stayed cool at night. There are even coat hangers in the wardrobes and chairs and a small table on the balcony. There is a tv but the only programme in English seemed to be BBC 24 hour news! Overall I would say the accommodation was ok - who wants to spend any time in the room anyway when the weather is so lovely and there wasn't really a problem getting a sun lounger by the pool - bit of towels out at 7 am going on but not too bad. If you do stay here s/c make sure you go to a Taverna called Ifalos very near by. The set menu was available for 11 euros and the chef owns the place. the food is excellent. The soup is fresh and home made each day and for desert I had the fruit plate with fresh figs from one of the staff's own fig tree! The cypriot dishes are lovely, especially the lamb kleftiko and a carafe of the house wine is only 5 euros! We went 3 times in 2 weeks and not because of a lack of other restaurants - we liked it so much.

stayed at the ausonia apartments. They were very basic but there was everything you needed. We were right opposite the station pub. Very noisy until 1.30 am. Could only stand it for two nights, asked to be moved. We were moved only to find we had no safe deposit box. We were moved yet again, third time lucky. We were given a room overlooking the pool it was very quiet and relaxing. You definitely need air conditioning, this comes at a price 33 euros for the week, but you will certainly need it. I thought the food was excellent, plenty to choose from, sometimes very spicy, the sweets were delicious, plenty of different flavoured icecream to choose from. If you like walking I suggest walking along the beach front, lots of little bays, Fig tree bay is absolutely beautiful, clear blue sea, there is a little island that you can swim too, I really recommend you take the time to go to. If you dont like walking you can get a taxi. Visited Ayanapa it costs 1 euro 50 on the bus you get the bus near Macdonalds in protaras centre. All in all we had a really nice time once our problems were ironed out and i would definitely visit cyprus again. The weather is very hot constant sunshine, lovely.
