“Good location”

This hotel was clean with good sized bedrooms, there is a kettle and tea/coffee in your room, there is a fridge but that is an extra! The staff were pleasant and helpful and there were lots of sun beds, and Towels can be rented for the pool area, there is a deposit which you get back at the end of your stay. The hotel is right on the beach, and just a short walk up a street to the main street and buses. The weather was warm so we enjoyed our stay.

Got a late booking for some warm weather at this hotel and read some mixed reviews before arriving. It's pushing it to call it five star. They have an impressive reception and atrium with the rooms off balconies around the central atrium. All marble floors and walls with plants growing off the galleries. The room was big enough but needs refreshing. We had a queen size bed, but it wasn't the most comfortable. Bathroom was OK but the shower over the bath was a bit weedy - something to do with the Island being short of water. Two armchairs, low table and dressing table with tv completed the room. Not a lot of storage. Balcony had chairs and table with a view of the sea from the side - towards Fig Tree Bay - fine. We were half board so had breakfast - OK but the scrambled egg should be avoided - and evening meal. I enjoyed the evening meals - had something different each night and thought it was decent quality, certainly plentiful. The last two nights things started to be repeated - I heard someone complain that it was getting boring but surely meals at home start getting samey. I would have preferred a choice of fresh fruit salad as pudding and maybe more choice of cheeses but that's my personal opinion. Waiters and waitresses always smartly dressed (very short skirts for girls) and attentive.
There were lots of available sun beds around the pools and on the lawns next to the beach, but then it was only the second week of the season. The beach and sea were clean and safe. I enjoyed my week and would recommend it.

Just returned from a week's holiday at this hotel. Read some very mixed reviews beforehand so weren't sure what to expect. However, we found the hotel really good value, especially on the all inclusive price. We had a fantastic room overlooking the pool and sea. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was a more than adequate choice and quantity of food, even if it did get a bit repetitive and wasn't always hot. The staff were always really polite and helpful. The beach is fantastic but too cold in April to swim as was the pool, although several people braved it! The resort itself is just about waking up and many shops, bars and restaurants still not open.

The one strong disappointment was the entertainment in the hotel. It was cringe-making and they really ought to do something about it. It's a shame when you've paid for all inclusive and have to go somewhere else in the evening for some sort of decent entertainment.

arrived at 11pm sunday 1/4/13 public areas in darkness only lights on over reception, after booking in asked if possible for any food ? NO was the reply ,, we had booked all inc., was offered a beer by the night manager . the other couple in our party could not be found on their system so finaly were allowed a lower grade room till next day but no wrist band (just incase they tried to get another beer) our room on top floor suffered from loud whoosing noise at irreguler intervals moved to another room next day a little better (i think the noise came from foul pipe valves on roof closing after toilets being flused ) food at this 5* hotel was not up to standard the pool loungers were so saggey once in very hard to get out again, lounge / entertainment areas not large enough for half full hotel but entertainment not very good first 2 nights quiz organised by 2 guests 3rd night by the now resident organiser 4 th night kareoky 5 th night was the night manager and saksaphone what a fun week ?? never again

Room Tip: not the top floor .pool view good sea view better and quieter

Just returned from a weeks holiday with our 12 year old daughter,I find it very difficult to fault this beautiful hotel on what I consider the best coastline of the island, most rooms have a stunning view over the pool and looking out to sea, rooms were kept clean and we never used it much as the sofas in the bar areas were fantastic and a very sociable place to sit in the evenings,
We had a great bar man called Andrew who served us constantly with our drinks and cocktails never having to leave our seats
Food was also excellent plenty of variety, icecream for the kids in a help yourself freezer by the outside bar, good snack system out of restaurant hours
Dining room used for evening dinner was relaxing and again very beautiful cream chairs and marble flooring, breakfast and lunch served in the pool restaurant also clean and organised.
We never struggled to find a lounger by the pool abundance of them for everyone
This hotel was like a Carribean experience sandy beach and broad walk immediately from the hotel I believe MOST people will love it here,we obviously went at a quiet time and we made our own entertainment and met other holiday families
Internet did become available towards the end of the week
It you can take a trip to a Northern Cyrus lots of history there

Room Tip: Side view over the pool

This was my wedding venue. I always wanted a wedding on a beautiful beach but it was only ruined by the wedding organisers swearing at each other and the manager just before i walked down the isle. The changing of my room 3 times where i had no bedding for a night for myself and my little boy. How they forgot my wedding cake so brought out a triffle and how the music system broke down. The hotel is generally ok.... not value for money but is badly run through its management and catering manager. Poor communication, service and very rude. The rest of the staff were nice. Alex especially. Who had no faith in the management. However Location is great. Now looking to renew my vows and would stay clear of this place after what they have done the first time around.

Room Tip: Just dont go there...... as what ever room your in they will move you.
