“Good experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2014

Our 1st visit to Cyprus and this hotel was recommended by a friend. Arrived at about 10pm reception very friendly and helpful. Requested 2 rooms together and got them. Rooms both very nice overlooking pool area. Free air con in rooms. Food excellent all week. Beer at hotel not the best generally flat before you can get back to your seats. Good choice of cocktails on the AI and friendly service by Julie and the guy who does the card tricks. Pool area very nice, clean and plenty of sunbeds some more comfortable than others. Only gripe about pool area is the loud music playing all day. Does it need to be this loud? To be fair it was loud at other hotels we walked past aswell. Had great weather all week (last week Oct) about 25-27. Nightime entertainment was basic but it was the last week of the hotel season and we don't generally sit around hotel all night anyway so wasn't a problem. Couple of bars near to, one across road beer ok and live football. We ended up using the spectrum bar (out of hotel turn left) friendly owner with good beer and live football, pubs here don't have the smoking ban like we do in England. Good for smokers but not so for non smokers. Overall a great hol was had by all

Dear STF_10

I would to like to thank you for your good comments. We changed few things in the hotel and we are doing much more better than last year. One of them is the entertainment team. I do believe that they do an excellent job. Restaurant is renovated and it is bigger now. Pool bar at the Tsokkos Apts is opened daily.

Be informed as well that you can e-mail your review to Tsokkos Hotels Public Ltd reception@tsokkos.com to enter a competition for a 5 nights free accommodation.

Lovely hotel - brilliant staff. Would definitely stay here again. First experience in Cyprus and loved every minute. Would recommend visiting Romeo taverna as we had an amazing night there. Booking again for this year.

We stayed in the tsokkos gardens Appartments in July they are basic but very clean with everything you need. They have air conditioning which is free during march-October. We stayed at the Appartment pool as the hotel pool was very busy. We had two children aged 4 and 6 with us and the pools were fantasic for them as well as clean and well looked after the baby pool was thigh level for my 4 year old so great for trying to swim and the big pool although deep was so quiet that as long as the kids had armbands on we could let them play as we could be watching and we so close. The sun lingers were great as we're the parasols which are also provided free. I will definitely be returning to these Appartments in the future as they were perfect for us as a young family

Stayed as a couple end of Aug 2013. Know the resort very well and hotels location is fine. Cleanliness of pools good but it didn't always get the regimental tidy of sunbeds at the end of the day leaving the area looking a bit dishevelled of an evening. Overall all inclusive no complaints. Always enjoyed breakfast and would say that 99%of guests should be able to satisfy their food requirements. The odd night food was not the best but starters and desserts were always adequate. The management need to sort out the level of staff training and uniforms as many staff were dressed casually and did not conform. My biggest bug bear was the state of the dining room carpet. I had previously read reports about it so its not just me complaining. As you walk towards the area serving desserts the carpet was puckered up and torn. I tripped more than once and food was trodden into it probably from the season before! As soon as the carpet is replaced the dining room will be transformed. I know that Cyprus is having a hard time generally but they have had a lot of very good years previously and its far from the cheapest of places. During our weeks stay they did replace all of the outside bar chairs with brand new which to be honest there was nothing wrong with the ones they took away. I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone not to use tsokkos gdns as we had a fab holiday But please, please dig into your funds and call a carpet warehouse! A rejig of management will sort out most blips. Put the English lady who runs the dining room in charge!

Room Tip: Room at front of hotel overlooking children's pool had a nice overall general view.

We arrived at 9pm at this hotel and recived a really warm welcome, we went half board so we were shown into the dining room straight away whilst our luggage was taken to our room.

the hotel is very nice, although needs to be re-decorated as the hallways were quite shabby. the room itself was lovely, fairly large and a nice bathroom. We ovelooked the pool which is very large and has plenty of sunbeds, even though some people deemed it necessary to come down before breakfast and put towels on them.

the towels were changed every day and the beds twice a week. The maids were so nice always around to say hello. there was tea/coffee and milk in the room this was replenished when they noticed that we were running low on our own coffee. they also put small shampoos and bath gel in the bathroom which was useful towards the end of the two weeks when we didn't want to go out and buy more.

We found that as we went in October it was fairly quite around the area but a short walk up the road and we found plenty of bars and shops. Go to the ranch of an evening they have some good acts on especially the two lads that did the Blues Brothers they were amazing.

I could list some bad points but at the end of the day it is personal preference. The hotel itself is clean and that is all that I require for my holidays as we only use the hotel for washing, sleeping and eating so I don't want to comment too much on it, but I would recommend this as a good base as the beaches and coves around this area are pretty.

Room Tip: Rooms with even numbers face the pool

stayed here from the 15th october to the 25th,this was the 2nd time we have been to this hotel and for the money we paid it was good value, rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed every day ,entertainment team were great with everyone, management and staff were also nice. plenty of different food avaible but did not always go with theme of the night i found no problem with the russian guests and i think the people who moaned about them were of a certain age or little englanders who paid to much for there own holiday.mick, grace and harrison.

just back from a holiday at this hotel. had a wonderful time. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially Nicholas the manager. nothing was to much trouble for him. the food was excellent and plentiful. we have previously stayed at the Anastasia and this hotel is far superior. the beach is only a 5 minute walk away as are the local shops and bars. would definately book again.
