“Brilliant day out for any age group.”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

The views from the restaurant are magnificent, perfect for enjoying a meal or coffee on a sunny day and the children can run free in a safe environment (under the watchful eye).
It's the perfect spot to relax for a hour either on your way up or down the Antrim Coast Road - or just go to the Park for itself.

“Family day out”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

I am a regular visitor to Carnfunnock Country park with my 3 children ages 11, 8 and 3. I have been going since my 11 year old was a baby and have never had a bad day out. I live close by so I visit summer and winter cold or warm there is something to do whether its a nice walk in the Maze, walled garden or bio-diversity trail. You can park in Drains Bay car park which offers free car-parking and walk along the tow path which is totally enclosed and safe for children to run freely. You can also park outside the park on the main road however this entails crossing quite a busy road. Plenty of parking inside the park but you pay an hourly rate. Lots of crafting and activities on throughout the year for children from Easter egg hunts to tree planting, bird spotting and painting pebbles. A lovely park with safety surface totally enclosed, pitch and putt, trampolining, co-carting, and a miniauture train which the kids love. They can even go on the train to see Santa a Christmas. Layer up on kids clothing as its can be freezing with a cool sea breeze or quite warm in summer. Plenty of picnicing facilities and a nice restaurant. Also a little shop with kids souvenirs but these are quite pricey. The walled garden is lovely and often host band concerts which are lovely on a warm day. I have also taken the kids to magic shows in the walled garden which a great fun. The latest feature is the waliking on water experience, inflatable ball which you get inside and propel yourself across the water. Great fun. Lots for young and old.

“Stunning views”
Reviewed December 16, 2012 via mobile

Visited here with my mum sister and niece back in June this year for a wee family day out, nice walks around the country park good exercise machines all the way round which you can't help but have a go at, bouncy castles boating lake and remote controlled lorries what more can a 3 year old need. Nice cafe and by looks of it a lovely caravan and camping site seems to be fully booked well in advance so I am planning on giving that a go at some stage next year. Good family fun clean fresh air stunning views :)
