We went as a family of 4, 2 kids aged 6 & 9. Did the morning husky safari & the taster session of husky ride, reindeer ride, trip across the ice to see Santa etc. this was enough activities for our children in the 3 full days we had. Everything was very well organised, transport etc was good.

Expensive if you book through the travel agents but a bit cheaper if you use local firms in the town otherwise the trip takes you to a hit where you get hot soup and you get to feed Santa’s reindeer

We are a family of four which decided to do a number of safaris, so prices are steep! However we were all extremely happy with all of our activities. We did the day and night snowshoes, the husky farm and the all day activities with snowmobiles and ice fishing. I recommend the night snowshoes, we saw some beautiful auroras. The daytime snowshoe was very informative and entertaining for the kids (ages 17 and 13). The husky experience is a must do. The one that I enjoyed the least was the all day snowmobile with ice fishing, lunch and snowshoes. Personally I felt that we spent too much time on the snowmobiles. I would have preferred to have done less driving.
I was very happy with all of the guides. They were all very friendly, all spoke english very well and were able to answer all the questions we had.

Dear Anna!

You have done many safaris with us. Thank you for choosing us and your feedback.

We are very happy to hear you saw the Northern lights since that is something we cannot affect whether they appear or not.

Many greetings from Saariselkä!

We flew from Bournemouth. What can I say.... From the moment we touched down in Lapland it was amazing. There were elves to meet everyone off the plane. On board the transfer coach the rep handed out sing along cards to sing Christmas songs.. Rudolf the red nose reindeer etc. We were goven our thermal all in ones out door gear... Very snuggly... And boots and socks. We stay at the Hotel Holiday Club half board. Nice hotel. Snow everywhere, just a 5 minute walk away from a huge tobogganing slope. The visit to Santa included a Husky ride (both my wife and I took a turn each driving the sledge. The personal visit to see Santa was also very good. Overall an amazing time had. I only wish I was a kid again. Although I did for that moment think I was !

bsolutely recommended! We did three of their trips in mid March 2018, and had a blast! First we tried the „Reindeer Safari“, a 2hr program where you first get to meet reindeers, do a 50min trip on vintage sleighs out into the snowcovered landscape (like a trek, about 10 sleighs in a row), then get a tour through a typical vintage Saami village, and then enjoy a tea break by the fireplace in the warm and modern wooden roundhouse. A great Lappish experience, especially with kids or for the romantic ones!

Then we were off for a „Icefishing Experience“, a 4h program, where you drive off to one of the many lakes around Saariselkä on snowmobiles (pricing is for shared/2pax per mobile; an additional 45EUR makes you a solo driver), then learn how to drill a hole into the lake‘s icecap and how to handle the fishing rod, and then it‘s up to luck and skills what‘s for lunch: if you are not successful, your friendly guide has tea/coffee, sausages and gingerbread cookies ready by the campfire in a tipi. Lucky fishermen may roast their prey on the campfire grill. We were on the tour with Tomi, a great local with incredible knowledge about icefishing and outdoor cooking. Five star tour and guide! Only advice: If you are into fast snowmobile driving, this may not be your preferred tour. Depending on the group, you may have slow drivers, and breaking off the group for individual fun is not allowed.

So we did a third tour, „Driver‘s Dream“, a 3h full throttle snowmobile excursion for the fast and the furious. Solo drive is included in the price, and you‘ll do a lot of track and see a lot of cool places. We did 84km in 3h with only short photostops, were allowed to „chiptune“ our mobiles into sport mode, and had incredible fun, doing high speed runs on frozen Ivalojoki river, learning a lot about different handling in various snow depths, and driving all kinds of tracks, between easy and demanding, drove to several great viewpoints on „tunturis“ (hills), and were treated to hot berry juice and gingerbread cookies mid-run. Our guide Hugo was awesome, a great guy who perfectly catches your driving desires, teaches you a lot about the snowmobiles and lets you try and do about everything the company procedures allow :-) Here as well: five star tour and guide! Advice: Try to catch a small, fast group, and it will be the snowmobile adventure of your life. Awesome. Breathtaking. More pleeeeeze!! Yayyy!!!

We both work in the service sector, and have to admit: there‘s barely anything this company could do any better! Perfect organisation, perfect material (from outfits up to machines), perfect admin/office people and guides!

We‘ll be back. Soon. Promised.

We had a wonderful guide who was very diligent when it comes to safety, especially for first timers riding a snowmobile. It was a great trip, visiting the reindeer farm and getting onto a slow but fun ride on the sleigh. Then we get the chance to feed these wild reindeers.

Try their ginger biscuits with their hot berry juice inside a traditional teepee! All winter gears are provided so you may not need to buy any.

Would definitely recommend them!

The tour was beautiful but not so comfortable. We ate lunch outside and was very simple. The guides were very nice and tried to make us comfortable but the cold was debilitated. I will never do it again. The group of 18 only one cough a fish. The rest just dug and froze.

I went on the snowmobiling night trek. We drove to an igloo and looked for the Northern Lights from there. Unfortunately the sky was cloudy so we could not see the lights, but I had a blast nonetheless! It was the first time I've been snowmobiling and the instructions they provided were sufficient for me to do it easily. When you're at the igloo they provide hot berry juice and snacks. They also provide you with outerwear such as snowsuits, gloves, boots, balaclava, socks and hats.

Hello Shubh K

Thank you for your feedback. I´m glad you enjoyed the safari even though you the Norhtern Lights weren´t there.

The safety is the number one in our safaris and that is the reason we give the driving instructions at the beginning of every snowmobile safari.
