My family and I had a terrific and memorable dinner and evening at La Brasserie on Christmas Eve 2012! Luc and Patricia provided a warm and friendly atmosphere with beautiful music, as well as exceptional food, wine and service and some unexpected camaraderie of guests. We especially enjoyed the impromptu Christmas Carols from around the world that were sung by their guests after dinner! Such a special night convinced us that La Brasserie is the warmest and finest restaurant in Torre del Mar! I hope to return for another wonderful meal sometime soon! Happy New Year Luc and Patricia!

An exceptional find in Torre del Mar. The Belgian owners of this restaurant are clearly enthusiastic and passionate about what they do and take great pride in providing excellent food using quality ingredients, prepared well.

We rang to make a reservation for 1 o-clock lunch. As we arrived the gentleman owner was outside and greeted us very warmly. We ordered gin and tonics to start. The drinks came with a tray of macadamia nuts, crisps and savoury biscuits. We asked for a wine list but they did not have one. Whereas in other restaurants this can be a failing, here it was understandable as they had such an extensive range of wines some of which had only a few bottles remaining. The owner was most knowledgable and suggested wines bringing wine bottles to our table to choose. We chose an excellent Ribera del Duero Roble red wine 2005 for €21, which for such an excellent wine was very good value. We did not have beers however we noticed that they offered an extensive range of over 40 Belgian beers including all the Trappist beers from Belgium, Holland and Austria.

We placed our order for main courses of Scallops cooked with saffron (€20) and Baby Chicken flavoured with Tarragon (€14). Whilst we were waiting for the main courses, they brought us complimentary tapas of Potage Crecy (a French carrot soup). To call it just carrot soup simply would not do it justice, because it was very, very delicious.

The main course dishes came on piping hot plates.

Everything was excellent. The scallops were superb and very fresh and the baby chicken was clearly the best quality free-range and delicious - accompanied with salads, freshly made belgian fries and potato croquettes.

One of us had the Apple pie which was very tasty and served with ice-cream and cream (€4.50).

Everything about our meal here: the greeting, the food, the service, the ambience was excellent. Overall a delightful lunch and excellent value for the quality.

We were resigned to the fact that all restaurants in Torre del Mar in November were poor or terrible with no knowledge how to prepare the simplest dish, then on our last night we chanced upon this place.Unassuming on the outside, the menus faded by the sun, easy to walk by without a second glance, but believe me the quality of the food here restored my faith. Fillet steaks done to perfection and a nice warm congenial atmosphere. Luc and Patricia are Belgians that are fluent in 5 Languages and know how to cook and host congenially. Its a little more expensive than the local restaurants but well worth it and will make your stay in Torre del Mar memorable. They also have wide selection of Belgium beers in addition to the local beers. Highly recommended.

what a Gem!!! an unexpected surprise to find this wonderfully decorated and family run restaurant in the middle of the costa del sol. finding my favorite selection of belgium fruit beers and my partner having the widest selection of the most fantastical variety of those famous belgium ales to sample.. all accompanied by the friendly tail wag of their "guard" dog Junior. the service was magnificent - such a small tight-nit restaurant that the c0-owner served us with a genuine smile and the most wonderful funfilled conversations. we were kept topped up and served delicious nibbles on the street-side terrace. and lastly... but definately NOT the least... the FOOD.. oh my the Foood!! meticulously and beautifully prepared by the chef/owner and delivered himself with a smile and the most wonderful typoical belgium accompaniments of kaas-croquetten and a bundle of surprises salad. i cannot even mention each dish indivudually as my partner and i were so satisfied and inspired by this restaurant that we ate every dinner meal there for the duration of our week long stay. EXTROADINNARY!!!!! special mention to the 'filet of beef with bordelaisse sauce'... a gigantic perfectly cooked piece of meat smothered in the sauce - best steak i have ever eaten. everything was FANTASTIC... i even ate the 'kipperbelletjes' (froglegs), something i would never imagine and it was beautiful. an amazing culinary experiance, i will certainly return and HIGHLY RECOMEND it to all my friends and family. thank you Patricia and Luke and family. most enjoyable experiance of our trip.

What a great place and a truly unforgettable experience. The food is to die for. I never knew pork could taste so good. Definitely the best pork dish i ever had. Won't go to Spain without a stop here for the steak in bordelaise sauce. it is the kind of flavors that would convert a vegetarian. The side dishes is great too like the traditional Belgium croquettes and Luke's amazing salads. The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming, friendly service and good entertainment . I was really impressed by the huge music collection, some very rare and classic. They also have a huge Belgian beer collection. Some of the best beers in the world with anything from cherry beers, dark beer, light beer and up to 12%alc beers. The Duvel and Trapist tripel is my favorites. The restaurant is runed by a great family! They made me feel right at home and we shared some good laughs together. Cant wait to visit again.
