“An enjoyable day.”

I'd been before a number of years ago and had a great day, but reading the reviews on here I was slightly worried the place had gone downhill. However I was pleasantly surprised. The park was well looked after and looked like it had been painted and tidied up for the new season.

Plenty of slides, disappointed my 4 year old couldn't go on any of the big ones but agreed they go too fast for him so I couldn't complain.

Food was no more expensive than any other attraction in Spain or the UK and picnics were allowed and seemed the popular choice.

Great day and worth the 22 euros each for the hours of entertainment you get.

Yes these parks are overpriced but the kids nagged all holiday so what can you do. The park was very nicely laid out with pools for all age of children - mine are between 5 and 10. We were there in mid August and the queues were not too bad. There was quite a bit of shade but you have to pay extra for the sun beds which seems a little mean. It would have been a good idea to pack drinks and a a picnic. The water is salt rather than chlorine which I preferred. Don't forget to pack suncream and or sun/suits for your kids if they are pale because you will not be able to persuade them to stay out of the sun. Beware of the slippery floors in the toilets. Everywhere outside has a non slip surface but my 6 year old had a bad fall and bashed her head on the floor in the toilets where the floor was like an ice rink - no warning signs at all! They checked her over and gave her an icepack in the first aid room but tried to insist that she should have been wearing shoes in the toilet. Besides being impractical, there were no signs advising this.

We have been visiting this water park for 10 years, and in that time nothing has changed or been added. The kids enjoy the rides and never waited more then 5 minutes for a go. It wasn't crowded seeing it was in August, and there were plenty of sun beds available for hire (€3 each). The large pool is always empty, except when the wave machine is in action. The toilets were clean and regularly checked.
There are 2 small cafes serving hot dogs/ pizza/chips which were quite reasonable (€6 for a meal) or ideally take a cool box with your own food and drinks.
Yes it is €22 for adults, €18 for children under 12 or over 60's, (they do except visa and master card now) and some places offer discounts for the park, so look out for those.
Would we go again? probably yes.
Enjoy

The good:
Aquavelis is well supervised and easy to get around

The bad:
All these parks are expensive (€22 adults (age 13+), €18 children), but it's value for money that makes the difference and this one is appalling. This is a very small park with a very limited number of slides.
- Slides/facilities are old and in need of renovation
- The sound of people enjoying themselves is constantly interrupted by the shrill sound of whistles blown by supervisory staff. While we all want to be safe, this camp feels like a police state, where rules are overly strict and too zealously enforced. It really does diminish the fun.
- The pool with wave machine was activated only *twice* during the entire day we spent there! We know that electricity in Spain is very expensive, but a wave machine needs to be on hourly at least, or it's just a regular swimming pool.
- Food is always expensive in these places, but despite the park being half empty on the day we went (late July, peak season) and most people seemingly carrying picnics, even a €4 cheese/ham baguette was 'sold out' by 14:00.
- The toilets/changing rooms are grim and stank to high heaven.

I had been here before several years ago, but had forgotten how poorly it compares with others I have been to. It's worth a longer drive to an Aqualand or some other park, in my view.

We went here in peak season at the start of August and we had a fabulous time. We never queued for longer than five minutes for any of the slides and all of the slides were great fun.
The only slight issue was the charging for the sun loungers when you get in the park as you would hope this would be included with the entrance fee, lockers also were three euros too.
I would highly recommend the park as there was something for everyone, families young and old and the staff were very friendly and personable too.
