We stayed here for 3 nights to have a few quiet days before our trip back home.Very reasonably priced *** Hotel including breakfast, opposite the beach. We booked through Agolda online-very good deal. Our upstairs room had a view of the pool.
Small, quiet seaside resort away from main Tourist centre (closest is Hua Hin 20 minutes taxi ride) great for rest and relaxation.A few days is probably enough unless you want a really quiet holiday. The resort is immaculate, nice food, family like atmosphere, all rooms are centred around the pool, nice private beach area across road with deck chairs, waiter service etc. There is a small play area for children.
You can hire a moped from reception to explore the area.

  • Liked — Private beach across road/you can order food and drinks and waiter will bring across to you.

After staying at the lovely Bann Pantai in Cha-am for 6 nights i was disappointed with this place. Its clean but much more expensive for what you got.

The beach is nicer than the one further down at the Evason but the Bacchus is definatley 3 star. I guess that is what i go, just didn't like having to pay more than i did for a boutique resort in Cha-am.

The pool was nice and the rooms were clean. Just nothing special about any of it. I also hate it when Hotels in tropical places close their pools at 7pm!!!!

We chose this resort because we were looking for something away from the touristy Hua Hin. We had a really enjoyable stay. The staff was fantastic, the room clean, and the pool was in perfect condition. Clean, beautiful, and plenty of shade with the umbrellas. The beach is a stone's throw away, but that's about all that is close. We took the train, so were getting around by foot once we hit the resort. It's a ways to even a 7-11, but there are a few local little stands down the way a bit. I had read it was remote, but it was REALLY away from everything. We used the hotel "taxi" to get to the bus station before heading to Bangkok, and it was fine, although more than a metered taxi. The restaurant food was delicious, and service was good. The beach was nice, although not pristine. The resort had beach chairs and umbrellas set up, which is always nice. We have two children (2 and 5) and they thought this was a vacation from heaven. Beach, swimming, beach, swimming. It was a nice weekend away from the city!

  • Liked — definitely, the pool.
  • Disliked — So distant from everything. If you have a car, this wouldn't really be an issue.

Avoid this place at all cost. This was by far the worst resort experience I have ever had. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world and this one by far is the most disgraceful. Don’t get me wrong about the cleanliness, its pretty clean. The service is awful and treatment is beyond pathetic. They gouge you for every little thing. Extra pillow and blankets are not provided. You have to pay for them. The New Year Gala is super expensive and not that great. Never stay over Christmas or New Years because of that. The Managment was quite rude to my wife and they were very helpfull at all.
There are plenty of great places in the area so avoid Bacchus at all cost. Its over priced.
