First of all, this is a place that we definitely want to come back after stayed in the private pool villa for three nights. Our two children, aged 4 and 7, both loved the place, and can spend the whole day in the pools.
The breakfast is great, really high quality of pastry and a large selection of cereals, dry fruits, yogurt, and jam. My only complain is the limited and dull selection of fresh fruits. Exotic tropical fruits that you see in the markets are no where to be found here.
The pools, public or the private pool are great, the water is very clean. The big public pool indeed are two pools, one deep and one shallow. I felt very comfortable to leave the kids in the latter one when I read books on the chairs nearby.
The room and especially the private backyard are perfect for a romantic getaway for a couples. There are two shower heads and the size of the bathtub is more than enough for two and the lighting is absolutely beautiful in the night. There are a day bed which is big enough for our two kids sleep in the night. They also had as much fun in the private pool and the bathtub as in the big pools. However, I don't recommend staying in the private pool villa with children younger than 2.
The entire promises are very beautifully designed, tranquil with numerous lilly ponds, including one in the bathroom near the pool, and the place never felt being crowded. The resort also did a quite good job control the mosquitoes, but do not forget to bring you own repellent. There is a very nice library room that has two computers with internet connection. There are free wifi by the pool and in the bar so that you are not completely cut-off from the real world. However, the internet connection through the wifi would drop off after 20-30 minutes and you need to wait a while for it to work again. The kid's zone is quite far away and you need ask the hotel to take you there and back on the extended golf carts. The restaurants on the premises are reasonably priced and of high quality, there is even a wood burning brick oven for pizza making. Another big plus is that they have a decent kid menu.
The beach is only accessible in the morning during low tide, but the upside is that ocean is only decorated with some anchored fishing boats, making the view much more relaxing than those busy beaches.
I am not giving it a 5 as some of its service can be improved. We were waiting at the ice cream parlor for more than 5 minutes and had to ask several people before being served, although at the time there are many staff in the nearby bar that are not busy at all. Finally someone told the lady at the activity booth that she should help us, but she found that there are not enough ice cream left and told us to get the ice cream from the bar. When we went to the bar, instead of simply giving us the ice cream there (and there are plenty there), strangely the waitress at the bar went back to the parlor and brought the ice cream she scraped from the bottom of the box, and we have to go back to the parlor for the topping. In addition, we were also disappointed when told by the lady at the activity booth that we can not borrow the bicycles as the guy already went home at 6 pm.
